LOVE
Kenya83 Apr 2019
Love is all there is
It’s glorious
And painful
It’s beautiful

Love is all there is
It beats in your chest
Have you thought about the rest?
It’s everything

Love is all there is
If you open your eyes
Feel the world come alive
See spring bursting through

Love is all there is
Can’t you feel it?
The vibrations of world
Look up at the clouds

Love is all there is
Watch the sun crack through
Enhance your view
See the trees and flowers breathe

Love

It’s all we need

Earth Brown Eyes
Kenya83 May 2018
I look in to your eyes and the rest of the world slips away,
like melting butter under flames
Im not here nor there
I am ethereal, consumed by the universe
The shore retired revealing golden bed
The sun was set to rest
The moon full, withdrew, declined to speak
There were no need for words or a language to seek
The vibrancy from your earth brown eyes set me alive
The fire from your parted mouth sends meteor showers raining down
I touch the wetness of a tear
my body and my mind
The third time I cried
Forever hypnotised
I submitted to your eyes

The lake in your eyes
As mute as the swan
As the sun dies
Darkness dances the rumba with the light
Day surrenders
Trees tell stories of thorns through your feet
Roots are severed
You’re lost
Among the forest and the lake

“You’ll never feel more alive”
You say
You kissed me soft, you stroked my skin
You pulled me in
This ancient thing
Called love

Bit my back, tugged my hair
****
These feelings are so rare
I drink in your eyes
You’re right
I never felt more alive
I study your mouth
I connect with your soul
As stories are told
Your heart beats hard

As I lay on your chest
Forgetting the rest of the world

Lost Gravity
Kenya83 Jun 2018
The night slipped away
Through my fingers
I lost all reason
I clung to rhyme
But the words were as fluid as water
Seeping back to crystal rivers
The moon desired one last look
I saw your eyes glisten
I lost gravity
Suspended, sporadic love
Reminiscent of your touch
Clusters of tiny stars
Cling to my skin
Even galaxies dream

Dreams, dreaming
Being, seeing, believing
Existing in this parallel place
Nobody else can ever step
In to this transformative space
Like walking up a stairway of the mind
And falling through the door to what’s behind
Closing tight eyes and shutting down minds
Subconsciousness catches a ride
The safety-net cloud breaks your fall
Illusions are real, you feel it all
You touch skin
You breathe in
Sunrise rouses dreams with pleasant memories
Vivid flashbacks disguised as false remedies
Abruptly ending melodies
Are dreams friends or enemies?

I didn’t look at you enough today
But I can’t live with regret
I tell you all my secrets
Though it’s always over text
Afraid of vulnerability, words escape my tongue
If you were inside my head, you’d see you turn me on
You send the sweetest pictures
I could look at them all day
I gaze in to your eyes
They have so much more to say

What is love?
Kenya83 Aug 2018
Every unique cloud formation that takes your eyes skyward and your imagination beyond

Every pink-orange fire-sky of tomorrows  promises that fires the pit of your tummy as glowing embers dance on your heart

Every poem and every feeling that stirs emotion and takes me to you
With melancholic lyrics and minor keys

Every grey day with droplets of rain distorting the view from the window
Enticing visceral vision where your eyes glisten

Kenya83 Jun 2020
Covers pulled above my head
Cocooned safe and warm, like death?
The world looks like such a mess
Quickening pace of my breath

Questions, questions, no reply
Society with its ‘freedom’ lies
Intoxicated brainwashed ways
Oppression, how the richest stay

On top of all the disposable folk
What an absolute ******* joke
With confidence we call ourselves ‘woke’
Funny how those same shoulders *****

The chugging of a steam train
Building momentum
Till it’s no longer chugging
But gliding,

Freedom explodes in controlled contradiction
Keeping me stoked,
Alive
Transcending cosmic pathways via my veins
To every place I’ve ever longed to see
Every thing I’ve never hoped to be
On this enlightening ride
Sounds, places, people, planets collide
An impassioned ensemble, comets divide
The Earth makes love and peace with celestial life

Kenya83 May 2020
Vacant fears, dented hearts
Barefooted footsteps leave their mark
Faded prints each step with
Pain and love and how it’s meant
I taste the tears of years and years
And remember you before
Again we meet, along the path, presented with a way
Unaware that nature’s order is at play
No rights of wrong can be decided, for I remember being guided, by “when you know you know.”
And I know my heart drops to the floor, among the universe it does soar
The contrast of highs, of lows, love just flows and flows

Be peace. Be truth. Be open to receive, and acknowledge the universe moving inside of you. Pain, happiness, sadness, joy, it all has purpose and language. Listen. Feel. Feel the energy you are experiencing. Be separated from the emotion. Look on from the outside. Recognise its teachings. Be present, aware of its impermanence. Here you will start to know truth. X

Of which my faith is far convinced
For answers to questions I’ve not yet worked out

The flying thing I’ve never seen before

The mossy grass of small twisted cotton creeps up the tree like a blanket
And serves as my seat

This February Day

I can compare you to this February day
It’s mild, it’s grey
But thoughts of you brighten the way
The sky is low, hazy off white
Despite lack of sun it’s really quite bright
You can barely make out the shape of a cloud
As the canvas sits proud, not loud
Calm and there
A slight dazzling glare
Quietly unassuming but certainly all-consuming
I see your movement in the trees, your persona in the breeze
I long for stillness in my dreams
Where I often play these themes and scenes
Where what may seem extreme is simply being
Minds connecting, conversations reflecting
Memories collecting
Passions injecting

And the moonlight peers atop the sky,
Does my mind, heart and body feel most alive,

Through throbbing veins with hope for life
Envisioned as a tangible thing,
imagine string
connects all beings
All with soul and core

I put my thumbs in my ears
To block out the noise
I hear my breath like waves
Like the ocean in a shell
I’m breathing
And everything has breath
Has life

I surrender to the moon
I roll toward the shore
And drift out again
Listen closely
Seagulls
Frothing sea foam
The fearlessness of children

Bold and brave
“Hi, will you play with me”
The moment, is all there is
They play
They part
Detached from thought
Freedom

Will they remember?
Does it matter?
Darkness will fall
But in response, light
The hummingbird hawk moth sings
Between two worlds
A delicate thread

Hold me here, or there
I’ve tasted it
I’m no longer afraid
I choke on my words
I’m petrified... of life
What is this choice?
This waiting list?

I’m sick
I’m sick with the harshness
Of filtered lives
I’m sick with love, or it’s disguise
I’m sick with reason
Illusion works in ways
Truth remains
