A life without love
Is like a night sky without the stars.
It's still there,
Just not quite as beautiful
So much death.
Twenty-two years of life
and I have experienced,
so
much
death.
My heroes all died,
as they will,
when youthful ignorance
turns to a bitter understanding on the reality of men.
We are flawed.
But it didn't stop there.
No,
year after year it seems,
death reaches all too soon.
A drug overdose,
a car accident,
a suicide.
One by one,
friends, family and enemies alike,
all have passed.
Some sought the grave,
some simply stumbled upon it.
It's all the same though,
the dead slumber;
the living carry on.
Until they don't.

I wake, you sleep on.
Your body in white
tight against mine
shares its warmth,
reminds me
of what I'd lost:
there is a world
and a life
worth living.

You make it real.

"fine"

BECAUSE. THIS ENTIRE TIME I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR WAYS TO TELL YOU THAT I AM NOT OKAY WITHOUT YOU HERE. BUT GOD, IT ALWAYS COMES OUT LIKE
"I'M FINE".
Can't kiss my lover no more
Can't kiss my lover
Found her lying on the floor
Can't kiss my lover
On top of her was the fellow next door
And I can't kiss my lover
She broke my heart
Tore it apart, and I
Can't kiss my lover
I know she's got it
And I don't want it back

I'll turn to drinking
If I can't get a laugh

And I can't kiss my lover no more
No, I can't kiss my lover no more
Just once?  No, not ever more
Because I can't kiss my lover no more
