Sometimes a smile doesnt say
'im okay'
Sometimes it means
'im trying to be  *brave...'

I couldn't think of a poem today
But still felt the need to write
So as not to disappoint myself
I took these random thoughts from deep within my mind
And placed them in some sorta order
So that they would rhyme**

How come Hippopotamus is only one of us
And Hippopotami is more
Whenever it is that I say my
It's I, me, mine, not four

If it's raining cats and dogs
Is it safe to go outside
And are they chasing their own tails
As they're falling from the sky

Do butterflies
Spread well on toast
And if they do
Which ones would be used the most

What jelly or jam
Would best compliment
If you preferred the Giant Monarch
For it's majestic stance

If we were all
The same color blue
Would what I did or how I lived
Still bother you

Just a few random thoughts
I felt the need to say
Since I could not find a poem
In which I could write today
From the elements that dance around us, I gather this and more,
a desire to be one with them, in ways one can't fully discern.
A meteorite had fallen in love with me, I am the fire raging inside her,
no evidence one has, how inner fire changes, till it happens!
Look at that distant star, does it speak? But, I know she loves me for ions.
One will better understand, if one lends ears to the tune of nature.
The wind booms its love, caresses the desire, let it grow in to a fire,
we are energies in dance, love and longing disguised, that take many forms.

Both Ways

Hardening your heart won't stop it breaking

They're hardly conversations we've been making

Blunt words still bruise

Soft words confuse -

Both ways you'll still be aching

.
Old
habits
die?
Hardly
.
These, our choices
carved
into
the very stone
of our
existence,
must be chiseled
painfully
to
greater runes
of perseverance
.
Old habits must be worn
until we've worn them down.

Simpleton
I've seen the tell tale
bite of your lip
Your hands meet one another
Twisting fingers
Eyes quickly squeezed
Tightly shut.
You open them again
This time hardened
Staring up
**** in a breath
Then back at me
Straight in the eye
Lips stretched
Over a gleaming set of teeth
You tilt your head
"I'm fine"

I don't even know
What to say anymore
I don't know
What's the matter
But just know that
I'm going to stick around
And I can't make you tell me
So I'm going to wait
Sooner or later
I wish you would confide in me

How long is forever
I asked the young child next to me
Oh, forever is a long time
At least till the end of next week

How long is forever
I asked the young man running down the street
Over his shoulder he said he had no time to talk
He had a deadline he had to meet

How long is forever
I asked the old man as he leaned on his crutch
Forever he said my friend
Forever is never long enough

Guess I'll wonder about forever, forever
As it seems to always change with time
Whether young or old or middle of the road
Forever will be forever a state of mind

Àŧùl
They don't see any amongst the other animals.
They had learnt about dogs in their childhood.
They fight only for the canine rights & rejoice calling themselves as animal-rights activists.

*No offence intended to anyone in particular & all similarity is purely coincidental.
But you may take it personally only if you wish to intentionally argue!
But hey!! There're common mongrels too that need your attention too!!!
