WHAT does the hangman think about
When he goes home at night from work?
When he sits down with his wife and
Children for a cup of coffee and a
Plate of ham and eggs, do they ask
Him if it was a good day's work
And everything went well or do they
Stay off some topics and talk about
The weather, base ball, politics
And the comic strips in the papers
And the movies? Do they look at his
Hands when he reaches for the coffee
Or the ham and eggs? If the little
Ones say, Daddy, play horse, here's
A rope-does he answer like a joke:
I seen enough rope for today?
Or does his face light up like a
Bonfire of joy and does he say:
It's a good and dandy world we live
In. And if a white face moon looks
In through a window where a baby girl
Sleeps and the moon gleams mix with
Baby ears and baby hair-the hangman-
How does he act then? It must be easy
For him. Anything is easy for a hangman,
I guess.

Somedays, the tide only laughs
at the sandbags we put up.
When the ocean of emotion
breaks with waves above our hearts,
we swim or drown.

The swell of current overrides
and riptides pull us down.
Move parallel to shore against the tide
till firmer ground is found.
Swim.

why do I buy books I won't read
maybe it's the same reason
I fall in love with people I can't have
I never reach out quite far enough
so that these experiences are tantalizingly
untantalizing
and maybe I select a great deal of books
in the hopes of finding one that I will actually enjoy
and I read such a small fraction of them
that I seem to be misspending my money.
but I will continue my vice and form a collection
of books that were
never intended to be read
to sit forever on the bookshelf of my memory,
quiet and untouched
maybe there only to be in stark contrast
to the ones I have opened
and destroyed.

She dealt her pretty words like Blades—
How glittering they shone—
And every One unbared a Nerve
Or wantoned with a Bone—

She never deemed—she hurt—
That—is not Steel’s Affair—
A ****** grimace in the Flesh—
How ill the Creatures bear—

To Ache is human—not polite—
The Film upon the eye
Mortality’s old Custom—
Just locking up—to Die.
Congratulations
You went to church
but did you pay attention?
or were you focused more on bright screams
Congratulations
You read your bible
but when do you plan on listening to it
Congratulations
You're going to an outreach on Saturday
but what did you do Friday night?
Congratulations
You're a Christian
You are adding onto the stereotype of
Fake Christians
Stop telling people to not be lukewarm and
To live for God full out
When You Yourself
**Are the problem
I can't understand
Why people don't like the things
That God made special.
Betrayal is not just a stab in the back
It’s a slap in the face
In public
How?

Why would someone do that to another person?

It feels like someone stabbed you in the back
Fixed the wound
Then stabbed it again
Just so they could enjoy watching the pain
Themselves

Knowing they inflected it themselves
Betrayal causes scars
Scars that can never go away
The wound may heal

The scar will always be that reminder
Of who did this to you
But how could someone do this to you

Some people give with all their heart
May care with all their heart
But in the end their heart has a scar
And they get hurt he most

From the betrayal
They may change forever

So before you betray someone
Stop
And
Think
You could change a kind hearted person forever

And yourself will never know what if?
What if I do this?
How will it affect the other person

You might just leave a scar forever
But you’ll never know
Unless you do the right thing to begin with

Every action has an opposite reaction
You never know what will happen
When you leave a scar in someone heart

Every betrayal begins with trust.
Maybe you can’t trust this person
You trust and you may loose

But now you know one thing
THE TRUTH
