Tryst
Love is not lust tho' lust may lead to love
As seedlings basked in sunlight spring to flowers,
Young blooms may make a golden treasured trove
Where tender tulips kiss in huddled bowers

Love ripens like straw-nested berry fields,
Plump, juicy, flavoursome, and blushing red
As nature's bounteous sweet harvest reveals
Her shapely form resplendent in her bed

Love is an acorn to the mighty oak,
Deep-rooted and unbounded by the sky;
Love ripples like a genteel puddled cloak
Laid bare to keep a silken petal dry

Love is but love and life is but to love:
So poets write and lovers seek to prove

Forced Laughs
Bad Breaks
And one terrible act
is all it takes

Next you know
thrown tomatoes
are the worst of your problems

And yet the show must go on!
It always "goes on"
each character
only moving to fulfill some primal need
hoping that the others don't notice
the trembling hands
the sunken eyes
and the unquenchable thirst

but your verse is coming up
same as all the others before it
so that it fits in
oh, how you must fit in
just another verse
in the midst of a chorus

There's a story to be told
A chilling sight to be hold
Turn the sinners into dust
Lit the fire, killed the cold
Yet each home repeats the mold
Savage souls were born in lust.

I wish I was in a Box

At least there are Corners

Where I can Hide to.
