Your Freedom
Dawn Maiers Jan 2015
You say I'm controlling and a sneaky ***** but you don't really know me, you only wish.
You want your freedom, your brunettes, red heads and blondes.
All your beauties keep you love drunk and high strung.
Go ahead and write them your lyrics & sing them your songs.
When you realize you miss me
I will be long gone.
You think one of them will bring you happiness but guess what? Your wrong.
One day you'll wake up reeking of *****, smoke and *** and you'll realize that the hole you're trying to fill is not full yet.
You'll think of my love then, this I bet. How I gave you my heart, all the memories of me you've tried so hard to forget.
Eventually all your beauties will tire of your ******* and mind games and you will be left alone with nothing but your aging face, regret and shame.
Kind of a long one. Sorry. Lol

Writers Block
Dawn Maiers Jan 2015
Writers block again.
It happens now and then.
My words got me thru the last time I had to get over you.
I keep sifting thru the images to find them but they are lost to me, like you, my lover, my friend.
Pushing past the memories of your face, your smell and the way your skin tastes.
Please words find me because I have once again been replaced.
An ex is an ex for a reason.

History
Dawn Maiers Jul 2014
Like the stars we use to gaze at our love could have gone on for an eternity but you threw it all away for your and her history.

Because she came first, your love for me has vanished. You act as though I never existed.
Me you have banished.

Although she tares you down and toys with your heart you still tell her you can't bare to be apart and even in your misery you beg for her love but me you won't ask. Our once burning kisses thrown away for your rocky past.

You are now a mystery to me. Memories I can't shake. Heartache I can't take.
I still love you this you must know but I need to let you go. Everything thrown away for your and her history.

Her Reflection
Dawn Maiers Jul 2014
Even after our fight about this immature girl, you tell me I have no worries, you want to give me the world  but as I look in your eyes I see her reflection, your desire for her, your hidden affection.

My skin still burning from your touch, I lay in your arms and you say that you have missed me so much but as I look in your eyes I still see her reflection, your desire for her, your hidden affection.

Now the time has come when
you have pushed me away, telling me this is no longer my home, that I can not stay. As I fight back the anger and tears and start to walk away, I look back in your eyes and still see her reflection. A smile on her face, her desire for control, her hidden agenda, I am finally gone no more affection.
First draft. First poem posted. Need feedback.
