what is a poet
but a stymied wind
stamping the same soil
seen through polished lens

firing the bugle sound
to reach across some
distant mountain pass
not echo the same

ignite fire
stand strong
find north
refresh

for old paths yield
grey packages
more stale
subterfuge

but honed
solidity is found
in structures
built sound

a new song of old notes
rearranged to yield
perspective
deep
at times we all need to see what is to be kept and what will be discarded, to reinvent ourselves, our lives, whilst retaining solid ground

if god is a woman
then i'd love to crawl inside
her womb and feel regeneration
feel the cosmos sparkle
in the sweat between her thighs
know what it is to taste creation
is this blasphemy? indecent?

if i am a woman then
why can i not love the power
she has gifted my body
in the marrow of my bones
layered gently in my curves
her names multiply
between these two lips and
i'd love to hear her whisper-

how very much the world needs her
patient, fiercely love-filled
vocal cords that sing our memories
into existence; her hair is
the curtains dividing the seas
of night & nature & the blood in us all

she weeps when we spill it
every ruby drop is falling from her lips
we break her bones when
we dig into the earth, ****
her precious body and destroy
the bounty that she's given us
but still does she love us?

she is more than mother,
than lover and artist,
fire-haired horizons and
opal eyes that span the skies

i love her with everything i have
is she listening to us now?
she makes me nervous,
how she sits naked in the heart
pregnant with our destinies
endlessly listening to our songs
of pain & lust & death's grinning hatred
and quiet, she is still in my soul.

do you want to know a secret?
i'm so afraid of your touch-
not because you are much bigger
or maybe more beautiful-
there's something that's a little splintered
hiding in my body, and
when people come too close,
       not just people
but the ones who brighten my smile
like Sun's rays in Moon's halo-
and you are somehow a ray of light
brilliant beautiful and
i'm afraid, not that you'll burn
my moonlit body, that
you'll start a fire and fire fascinates me
i get too close and then
i grow too warm and
i won't burn, but you might
and then what will i do?

A girl is a slave
Who can put good clothes
Who can eat better food
Who can wear gold ornaments
Who can walk in high heels
Who can talk to all
Who can smile
Who can sleep
But who cannot go out
Who wont get wages
Who should not know freedom
Who should not know relaxation
Who should not dream of relations
Who should not think of what she was
Who must forget who she is...
And yes, I am also a girl.

I am -
never the same.
So, is my love for you -
grows
into something new.
In respond to: "No man ever steps in the same river twice." A famous saying by a Greek philosopher Heraclitus.

traces of being
Sometimes
in the mornin'
dawn awakens
unquiet heart
    swaddled
   in a dream ―

       and
      i hear
    a whisper
    from a voice,
gentle as a burning
      candle,
 sing to me softly
without words

... a stirring
moment ripples ―
an unholdable dream
    fleeting;
    lapping
wakeless silence;
... vanishing , . .
    swilled
by the daylight
   just beyond
   closed eyes
     awoken

    and now
 it's only me
      again
