Ciel Noir
the whole world waited
lost in wonder
curiosity

remember when
the Moon became
a place where we could be

we looked back on
our little world
so beautiful to see

to fly like dragons
in the sky
so powerful
so free

Breathing slow, breathing deep
Across the sea of slumber creep
Mists aglow with hidden fire
Sheets the bed with fresh desire

In the shadows of midnight's keep
The blaze is quickened, in flurried sleep
A haunting breath of flash and flame
Creeping ‘round the window pane

Scents that stain the pillow case
On the river of silence race
Swallowed up by raging need
Storms the crown, to plant the seed

Behind the shade of fevered dreams
Piercing truth, in stillness screams
Secrets locked beneath the skin
In visions ripe to trickle in

Broken whispers flutter by
Painting promise on the sky
Naked flesh begins to yearn
As passion flares, the body burns

Trapped in a subconscious mind
The light of day will never find
A fire as hot as is this bliss
Drowning in a moonlight kiss

My dreamland’s gateway
opens up a gorgeous field of flowers
And there at its center proudly sways
In stripy purplish-pink is a handsome wildflower
I do adore those wild and free
though I love all kinds of blooms and hold no preference
And when I saw him in his fragrant sanctuary
I felt a kind of reverence
And among those beauty of its kind
I surely won’t forget
The sweetest moment when he smiled
The wondrous time when we’ve first met

Escape in a Poem,
freedom unchained

Words come alive,
distant sirens renamed

Brevity conquers,
all urge to refrain

As magic unfolds
—the present reclaimed
