Do not wash my hair
dress me up
or close my eyes
I am what I am
a husk, a shell discarded
and turning up at my own funeral in a bow tie
all shampooed and combed hair
with my eyes shut as if napping through it all
would never be my idea of acceptable.

are you like me?
prone to try to write
away your miseries,
desire calm
behind the cause
the beginning find
perhaps
write upon a
thought profound,
that makes
me, or you
open up our eyes?
When we set out,
supposedly, to
sound out
loud shout a
feeling read it
finished
say My god!
Realize on
second read
we spoke
of me
or you?
Edited so much
but came
out true.
In schooldays my aim was terribly perfect
add to that an attitude unfair
a soft teacher was an easy found target
not one bald head was allowed to be spared.

The moment the poor man turned to blackboard
his baldness shined as a gaming site
the sleeping devil woke up and deep roared
dispatched were chalks on windborne flight.

Only a few did land on wrong place
but found mostly their rightful targets
and bore no qualm the thrower's face
when cheered by the fellow classmates.

As the victim turned with ire's full steam
nursing stings that came with good force
we in the gang were such an honest team
never revealed it came from what source.

It went on smooth till luck failed one day
has to end all games one once starts
a traitor midst us the secret gave away
memory of the thrashing badly hurts.
Forgive me teachers for I have sinned against thee.

Forever basking in eternal light?
If heaven exists, may I find it.
Not in any hurry.
A slow meander ,
Down the stream of life as it flows.
To figure out my direction.
Most extreme pleasure may be found.
One day eh!
Can be sensed in the joints of aching bones.
Of standing upright garden gnomes.
Standing guard over pond life.
Water boatmen skit the film.
They're making a movie.
Winter's subject maybe skating on ice.
Don't see them much in winter time.
Summer's theirs and also mine.
The night is creeping in.
Darkness catching up.
It's cold.
I am too.
The weather is changing.
Been all over the news.
Life on Earth is almost hell.
Throwing coins into a wishing well.
They don't come true.
Just leave me broke.
Fried eggs on toast, too skint for yolk.
Hell yes, I'm cold and tired.
Still writing, trying to joke.

Drunk in the morning watching
The tail feathers of a magpie not
Being twigs within the yellow
Womb of swaying autumn
Bushes.

Here we go
Round and round

It's all there
in that loving sound.

Your sweet eyes, they close,
Your lips, they open to mine
Here we go
Round and round
Singing our loving sound.

We know life will drag us down
Fingers grasping at ledges
All the way down
Here we go
Round and round.

I came to  you
You came to me
We both whispered words so true
We took a chance
We took the leap
Holding on to each other
All the way through
Here we go
Round and round.

Our eyes, they locked
Our arms, they held,
That grassy hill
Soft and sweet
We left our feet
Rolling round and round
All the way on down.

The skies above
The ground's below
We're somewhere in between
I know you know exactly what I mean,
Here we go
Round and round
Singing our loving sound.

A poet is a nightingale
Who sits in darkness in the wood

He sings to cheer his solitude
With sweet sounds noone's ever heard

What’s wrong girl life getting you down
The burden of it all
Not like the old days when life was easy
We had it all
Now it’s all responsibility
Work and sleep
Do you know something
I can't remember the last time I saw you naked
Can’t remember the last time we had fun
Why don't we have a weekend away
What do you say
Life's too short to work it all away
What do you say
Let's just do it
Get away
It really is peaceful here
You choose well
Brought your favourite flowers
If I’m not too busy
I’ll pop back next week
Clean your headstone
Maybe the week after
Too much on next week
Do you know
Someday I’m just going to give it up
This is no kind of life
Can’t remember the last time I saw you
Did we have fun
That weekend
You went away
I was working.

I live my life
in the shadows,
the disconnected hours,
observing all I see.

I've learned to hide,
bide my time,
while time keeps passing all around me,
this set in
not today or yesterday,
but somewhere else along the way.

Eventually
that which protects us
defeats us in the end,
I become the naked dreamer
quaking
in the quad,
it all begins to strangle me.

Nature,
Open skies
open air,
this room
this mind
a suffocating refrain,
one wonders how it became this way.

I live my life in the shadows,
the invisible man for all to see,
take off my clothes,
shed my ego,
there is nothing left of me,
but this sacred breath,
these words that make no sense,
I'm the one that you don't see,
but I see you all around me.

I'm singing the Poet's lament,
the whispering voice,
you hear it in the shadows,
the figure passing by
out of the corner of your eye,
the one you can't quite grasp.

I live my life from the shadows,
the light is on the other side,
One of these days,
the dawn will call my name.

She will smash
every wine glass,
they are broken
but not her heart.

She will walk barefoot
from room to room
while her feet are bleeding,
but not her heart.

She will drink him up
until her body aches
and her head hurts,
but not her heart.
