Step into the parlor
The fires spent, still burn
Painted in the faded tint
Nightmare shades to turn

Broken slabs of conscience
Rotted to the core
Splintered in a thousand words
Never heard before

Gears abide the grinding
Slapping to the beat
Shards of incandescent lights
Flavoring the meat

Slicing as you swallow
Whispering refrains
Caught like someone else's fate
Filtered through the shame

Dressed along the hallway
Mirrors shout their fear
There among the carpet stains
Distant as is near

Gasp for all you bother
Feast that final breath
Blood shall ring the butlers call
Long beyond your death
Weary eyed disappointment shines through the blue
in an attempt to quell my spirit.
6 weeks between us, yet you are as old as time.

I am not sorry for your frustration,
it stirs my ***** to see your distress
at my half-smile.

I offered you warning, long before gold was shared.
I told you I'd be hard to hold,
spelled out my weakness,
held aloft all flaws.

Still you lept at my flame,
seeking to contain it within your covetous palm,
to mold me with your priceless wisdom,
your righteous idea of who I could be,
should be....would be.

A me without a trace of self is your desire.
A shell filled with your vision of perfection.

A stay at home
Lay at home wife.

Last night you said that you had made me a better person,
while I sat and wondered at your breathing
in the hope that it would stop.

Do not take my silence as compliance.

Hi, I'm satan
For all to see
I'll tell you a secret
A secret about me

I am a giver
I give you the world
I want you to be happy
Never get bored

When you see the things
That you can't afford
I make a way
So you call me lord
Just sign right here
On the dotted line
Yes it's me
But you are blind

I giggle and laugh
You say you are blessed
Little you know
You're being possessed

Now you're mine
You call me friend
I make you a slave
To he that lends

There was one called Jesus
He figured me out
Turned over my tables
And pushed me about

Now you can see
I've explained the ranks
It's still the same people
That run our banks

Shaded Lamp
Wake up
Got the shakes
Get some black mirror
Brush teeth
Get washed
Get some black mirror
Feed yourself
And the kids
Get some black mirror
Out the door
In the car
Get some black mirror
Seat belts on
Drive kids school
Get some black mirror
Signal
Manoeuvre
Crash
Blood spilt
Kids crying
Get some black mirror
Blue lights
Loud sirens
Get some black mirror
Hospital
Waiting room
Get some black mirror
Wife arrives
All in pieces
Share some black mirror
Police arrive
Handcuffs
No more black mirror
In a cell
Shaking
Need some black mirror
In the dock
Quaking
Because of black mirror
Everyone else
In the court
Getting some black mirror
I am as addicted and as enslaved as anyone to the little black mirror that glows when I touch it.
