It lifts my spirits, even when they aren't down
It resonates with all things happy
Makes me tremble to the core
The expectation of its warmth
Comes as waves of unforeseen joy
When the ride ends it is always bittersweet
Until tomorrow
Until next time
When that time draws near
I wait with bated breath
In hopeful anticipation, I linger
Almost as an afterthought in throaty air
Like distant thunder in a cloudless sky
With a deep rumble and a Southern drawl
Sweet dreams always follow

My ruby looks on stones to see the light.
While amber stars are flashing in her mien,
She forges facets with her eyes and mines
A rocky grave.  To bear as such, the sun
Un-sung, she could caul parhelion to dust
And still doom to shadow those fireworks
She alone ignites.  Here then lies a truth;
My ruby looks on stones to see the light.

You are love that’s unabated
You are soul forever sated
We are eternally fated
Intertwined
We’re our cause of hearts elated
Joy divine

Surprises come with every turn
With every breath our bodies yearn
To be explored without concern
Recognition
With every smell and touch we earn
Less inhibition

A lifetime blinks and dances by
More joyous tears than sadness cry
A softly singing lullaby
Peaceful slumber
And when the angel comes comply
I’ll not encumber
In Burns' Stanza

To say that I love you
Is an empty gesture
Overused and meaningless
You know my heart
You see me through the darkness
You know beyond all reason
That it is you
and you alone
Those words will not be whispered
Their sweetness will not pass my lips
My heart is held deep within you
Waiting to be filled with all that you are
Yes, waiting for logic
To catch up with longing
And trust to override fear
Words don't matter here
In this altered reality
In this space created just for us
You know what you know
And it is I who lays in wait
;)

For all of the things I did,
all of the words I said,
I meant it.

I hope to be
just like the eerie gleams of fireflies
reflect in the stream
beneath your moonlit night.

I would grasp every moment
to see your bubbly smiles
and make you feel wanted.

If only
I could scream out your name,
to the world,
and tell them
how much I love you now.
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! <3 <3 <3

In the early dawn
A shout is seen
As the moon is falling,
Tawny birds blithely dart
In the scarlet tangles
Of your heart, always escape
Yet never so parading past
The topped prime colours
Of bleeding eyes uncovered,
All the fields and clearing
Woods have cordoned
Themselves, beyond
Your glorious boundaries,
In the knotted, noble trials
Of briar and serrated leaf,
Green trails ply angled thorns
Leading to one ****** crown.

Bright moon, perfect, full,
Her *******, unbound in starlight,
Heavens outnumbered.

Odd boxes,
Patch the room.
Small plates of food
Half eaten, dusted,
With leftover crumbs and papers.
The phone never calls
And shades are drawn for days
Only opening for small, dropping lights
That move in the eves.

I can
Not look at all the photographs I took
Of us
Even though I want to,
Even though they lie
Close to me
With my unmade bed, on the floor
Always falling,
But never to sleep, without you,
Empty.

We met at night and our love
Grew in the eves—
And then, I had to leave her.
It was like a new emotion,
An uncovered degree of cold
And far winds moaned, shuffled air
Became scarce and mythic as aquifers
Under desert, like no bird had ever flown
Nor sung.  I longed to see her in dream
Her burning red hair, like my steadfast
Flame— alight, a swoon of dance
Of newness and of peace,
In the death of night.

Showers of promise punctuate your days,
The waters creek, mumble rise and swell,
Flowers, spark of youth, marching in the rains
And birds sing anew, bright pages, bursting-bell,
An earthy coronation, cleanse and glisten,
All the wood, shorn by Winters’ wane and fan,
*** and waltz in balmy breeze collecting
Ferns and Falls' forgotten blood red hands
Renewed, the grass and trees, heavens missal,
Wing-lipped leaves exploding green, just listen;
The washing rains parade, all resurrection.

High upon a pedestal
Backlit by Angels
A vision of perfection
A smile resplendent and healing
A magical site to behold

She does not see all she does
She just does what needs doing
Trudging through clumsily
Never thinking she hangs the moon
And the sun is merely a reflection of her soul

Fire on water,
The hearts smoke
And low rain of her eyes,
What wry lashing they gave,
The currency of night's tender,
My fare to the wandering lands
And makeshift rounds of munitions
Slice and plosive gaze.
