John F McCullagh
The water laps against the hull
Just like that time before
Just like that Sunday morning
That exploded into war.
In these old eyes
That yet can see
Those waves of rising Suns,
A tear wells up
In memory
for those forever young.
Below my feet
My brothers’ lie;
Proud Arizona’s crew.
For a time I have
Escaped their fate
But now my days are few.
and when I die,
I’ll make my grave
In Pearl, beneath the Sea.
Then all we suffered
Will be lost
to living memory.
( An aging veteran of Pearl Harbor, alone with his thoughts and memories, at the 76st Anniversary of the day of infamy)

O My Merciful God,
Turn me back on the right path
Stop me going on the wrong way.
Let my mind be in you on the earth
I should always do this anyway.

In the world of light of knowledge
Don't make me a fool and hostage.
If my heart becomes full of sin
then give me your shine.

O My Lord, O My Creator!
I'm embarrassed by my behavior.
Please, accept my apologies!
I don't want to be a prince
I want your mercy forever!

that certain decorum the chug of
progress down tracks leading
far off growing together perspectives
as if horizons have personality
persona decorative mustaches
on poster board canvases in chalk
scribbled concrete bridge abutments
how the man on the hill chants come here
a cloudy guru like quality you
want need to believe fall for
because the tobacco-stained sidewalks
no longer describe your path
so you take refuge in homeless shelters
eat sup in soup kitchens in torn jeans
long unkempt hair and a bath
might be nice
the lentil soup may smell better
how you know constantly there up high
behind the glass in the steel sky eye
a man sits knowingly
pulling strings
yanking the tongues
out of your independence
just playing
like god
you huff
puff
and stare
completely...

Everything will be destroyed
But you, you are God
You are the Lord of the world
Never tired and no mortal

You drive the skies and the earth
The sun, the moon, and the stars
The darkness and Milky Way Path
You are the only God forever

One day will come
Everything will pull down
Human and Jinn excuse to you
You are the only one who can judge

You'll not take money from anyone
Not even beauty and wealth
A person's power is nothing

They call it the last day
You are only powerful
On resurrection day.

In an age of persecution
When Christians died
For their beliefs
Apostle John wrote
Revelation
To encourage and
Bring relief

First century folk
Who held Jesus' tenants
Were martyred in
Most horrid ways
But John wrote about
His coming
Christ described the
End of Days.

The early faithful
Found their solace
In the Gospel
Sweet & pure
The Bible's WORD
Was ever spoken
And its precepts
Still endure

Modern man cannot
Believe it
Because he has
A hardened heart
But when tribulation
Finds him
Rest assured he'll come apart!

So we put our trust in Jesus?
IS He simply "fairy tale"?
Why did Christians
Sing their hearts out
When lit on fire and impaled?

How could they endure
Having their heads drilled
Molten lead then poured within?
How could could they
Be so calm & joyous
When lions tore them
Limb from limb?

Their contemporaries
Could not believe it!
When Christ was preached
It was received!
The Gospel forwarded
By each man dying
By their blood
The folk believed!

Now Christian people
Won't mention Jesus!
They give sin a little wink!
They're afraid of persecution
By caring what the
Lost may think!

Wake up, folks!
The toast is burning!
Give witnessing
The college try!
There are hearts
Who're out there yearning!
Cap'n Crunch waves us goodbye!

I may get flack
For this assertion
I may get comments
For to spare
I may get called
A backward person
People... I don't really care!

If I don't warn of
God's Judgment
Tribulations in this land
I'm not a Watchman on
The Wall here
And

your blood is on my hands!

I'll read & preach
From Revelation
The ending always
Helps us cope
Read the outcome
Of our suffering

It will give ETERNAL HOPE.

I'd love to write out the entire last chapter of Revelation. It is NOT a book of doom & destruction for believers at ALL! But a treatise of HOPE! Please find a bible & read it. It's not just a metaphor. It will be a TRUE EVENT! HEAVEN WILL COME TO EARTH!

♡♡ LOVE YOU ALL! ♡♡
