Our fingertips touch and the world
Comes to a standstill-

Still as all of nature at dusk,
Silent as the moonlight on a starless night,
Heavy as the gurgling clouds just before it rains,
Blinding as the sun in all its glory and light

Our fingers begin a rhythmic dance,
As if playing the piano, rendering a favorite song,
Knowing the pace, the moves by heart,
Not faltering once, not going wrong,

Then twined together, we blissfully lay,
Content, peaceful, complete.
The moment of oneness cupped between our hands
preserved for all of eternity.

oh-the-oddities
i saw a beautiful star in the night sky.

while staring at it from a far distance
under the moonlight,
i was mesmerised by its luster,
inspired by the light it gave.

as i got closer and closer,
i fell in love with the pulchritude
of its flaming infernos.

as the distance between us slowly started diminishing,
i stood there still smiling,
thinking,
*"someday, you'll be the death of me"
perhaps i was too blinded by its bright blaze to realize this sooner

Old bucks eat late
Under harvest moons,
Leave the younger crowd
To chase the does
Before night falls,
And down they go
Before the hunter's bow.

Scarred and limping
They may be,
But old bucks are wise
To outlive generations
Of the young and strong
By patience
And by separation.
Hunters Hunted Wisdom Patience
I am letting go of all of the things not of him.
I am letting go of all of this here worldly things.
Leaving my hands free to hang on to the Lord.
Nothing else matters, except following Jesus.
Nothing else is important except Jesus Christ.
For only his ways lead to eternal life in heaven.
Only his ways shall bring true life to us here.
For only through him can we come to the Father.
For how can you hate Jesus , yet confess to be a Christian.

You are no longer
a child
innocent or forgiven.

Slower now,
dreams have taken flight
with butterflies
and *****
thrown beyond your reach.
No longer child-bright,
you stand in court
where age
grows upon the wall
and eats the air.

Your shadow lingers
frightened at the door
unconvinced
then bounds away
to chase a dream.

I cannot help but lament at
The futility of being a word-weaver,
As I try and search for the
Perfect topic that could steer
My blundering, fumbling conversation
With you to something more than ordinary
Alas, hours pass and I fail miserably, so,
Dejected, I lucidly write about it on Hello Poetry.
Smooth, eh?

You look and see the shape the world is in
Your so afraid any day it's going to end
Let me let you in on a secret friend

You can never PRAY enough

Your asking me if that helps
I'm asking you if not then what else
As the world around you quickly melts

You can never PRAY enough

The moral collapse of society
The putrid air that we all breathe
Needs that drive us to our knees

You can never PRAY enough

The knuckle heads that are in charge
The loony's running freely in the yard
The very best in get well cards

You can never PRAY enough

Even when it's all running smooth
Be it Latitude or Longitude
Word of mouth or in the news

You can never PRAY enough

My advice to those out there
Retirement age or Kinder care
Here or there or anywhere

You can never PRAY enough

I do not wish to see how love fades
Like a new moon, once full, sinking
Into the blackened ocean horizons,
I only wish for eyes blind as hopes.

I do not wish to hear how words lie
And promises only lead to sorrows,
How the strings of words string us
Along from daylight into long darks.

I do not wish to speak what I do not
Feel, as rock in abandoned quarries,
I only wish for wings to sail forward,
As ocean birds do, well on their way.
