A Picture Perfect Time Of Year

The warmth of spring as winter fades
Brings excitement to the air
As lovers walk hand in hand
A picture perfect time of year

We watch as flowers blossom
See new colors on the trees
We hear the birds now singing
And it brings an inner peace

Cold and snow just a memory
Of the season that has passed
Looking forward to the days to come
Taking time to love and laugh

The true beauty of this season
Is the new love we feel within
Each day a fresh reminder
Of a time when life begins

The warmth of spring as winter fades
Brings excitement to the air
As lovers walk hand in hand
A picture perfect time of year

Beauty is hiding the ugliest blemish
Embedded lies in the mind of the squeamish
A feeling such as love cannot be contained
So why insist hatred is preordained

Drawn into gray the eyes do deceive
I capture a leprechaun and stole his disease
And now I hoard over this *** of gold
Refusing to pay the amount that I owe

Take not the day that I long await
Touch not my blue skies, my forest, my lakes
Yet help thyself to the opinion of those
Who embark on life’s journey by selling their souls
I am by,
Myself again,
Waiting for,
The clock strike.

Talking to,
An empty thread,
A path that's made,
For frostbite.

Frozen drops,
Of morning dew,
A dark force,
That I can't fight.

If you came,
Around again,
Would ice thaw?
It just might.
But Time is a person made concept

When I pick up a pen
It's like catching up
with an old friend
who understands
the words I write
and what they mean
Never judging me
for the way
I make everything seem
no second glances
or unwanted stares
just a pen touching paper
a friend that only cares.
Sometimes writing helps.

i dont want to be alike to a married couple

i dont want to fight every night

and only have the reassurance that this will happen again,

even after we have joined together in holy matrimony

even after i bought this dress just for you to enjoy me in

and even after you made me pick the flowers

even after you've always been the one to walk up to me with flowers clenched in both of your hands

If I could write in but one book,
Fill all the spaces,
Nook to crook.
A soft leather cover would be my chosen look.
This, my signature
Or will an Alter Ego sit better on the cover?
For if I wrote in but one book
I wouldn't become "run of the mill"
Captivation and surprise, while keeping you suspended close to the edge.
For there's a fine line between a good book & bad
I hope I keep a steady hand
For if I could write in but one book,
My life's compilation,
My signature book.
