I'm running out of memories
Of you.

The RAIN knocks on my window
WATER patient to get in
Travelling from CLOUDS up high
And OCEANS far away
Transported by RIVERS
Or flew as VAPOUR
A TEAR rolls down
Salty MOISTURE slightly
HYDRATES my eyes
Staring at the STORM
While the CURRENT inside me
FLOWS
Woven in between the branches of the willow tree,
Midnight snares the wind and stars,
and whispers soft to me,
"Still your heart and still your mind, for what will be will be."
Rolling through the days and months
the willow dances on,
Swaying in the autumn winds, catching summer's song,
And still she whispers soft to me,
And still I linger on.
I watch her bend and twist with life,
Elegant and sure,
Shouldering the harshest storms and dancing all the more,
And how I wish that I were she,
Eternally demure.

I see a path at
the end of a road, hidden by
thickets of blackberries about
to blossom through the night
where shadows veil their violet colors,
those blushing, berry brides.

Yonder was a dream
a dream you believed in
one you made real
with each departing footstep.
