The lover’s wounded heart bleeds silently
From the invisible cut, that runs deep
Lacerated by the steely disdain of the lover
Her world revolved around him
Now, she is bereft of any world, but pain
Slowly, the maimed heart leaves her incapacitated*

Social media, a person with
so many friends a picture seen,
liked by others and even new
friends now seen.

But turn off that phone,
the laptop, and your I Pad too,
and when you look around
there is only you.

With no others to see, a
person alone, no real people
around, untill the log on is
done but are these real friends as
never  really seen.

A person has never been
more alone, when so many
friends are seen, but one must
talk for real connect not over
WI-FI but face to face not
face book or twitter its
not really real...

hushhush
I'm sorry if I smiled at you.
I know that you don't like that anymore
but it's just that
it was an accident.

And I'm sorry if I smiled at you
but
I just got confused
because
I saw your eyes,
They were there, on your face,
And
they were exactly the same
eyes that used to be on
your face, you see,
In those times
when they used to smile at me.
And they were exactly the same eyes
that used to look at me
like I was your favourite person.
And they were exactly the same eyes,
And

...Except that they don't do that now,
And I know that,
And that's why I'm sorry
if I smiled at you,
But surely
you can understand my confusion,
You see,
it was simply human instinct
to smile at something I knew.

And I suppose I just assumed
(and I suppose I was wrong)
that perhaps they might remember
me too,
And I wasn't thinking,
It was automatic...
But I'm sorry,
I shouldn't be making excuses,
I should have remembered
that you don't do that anymore.

I'm sorry if I smiled at you,
I just
don't know what happened.

one must
take the
first step,
if you fall
get up, and
then you know they are not the one for you.
When you like someone but they don't know take a chance if knocked down there not for you

I do not walk
In the footsteps
Of others, for I
Am not following
There path, I
Must walk my
Own footsteps
For only then
Can I look
back and see the
Steps I  have
taken. Not in
Others boots,
I have not walked
in there footsteps
for I Have trodden
In but my own.

Stop trying to remember his scent, he smelled like summer and reminds you of the time he made you laugh so hard, you snorted out milk on that dead, hazy day.

2. Don't waste your day trying to decipher what colour his eyes were, it'll only remind you of the galaxies and constellations that you once saw in his eyes

3. Stop trying to retrace the shape of his mouth in the middle of the night, you'll choke on your tongue trying to taste the mint he devoured seconds before pulling you in for a kiss

4. Stop reliving the times you clasped hands together, the glass plate will fall off your trembling hands.

5. Burn this list, admit that the galaxies and constellations shining in his eyes were wilted, the one in yours are bursting with fire. Remember on the dead, hazy day his laugh sounded like nails running down a chalkboard. Remember when you kissed, the weeds growing from his mouth entangled the roses blooming in yours.

Realize that one day, another boy is going to come and plant daisies where he left behind thorns.

Life is too short to waste
On insignificancies,* she says,
Waving carefree toes under socks
On my lap
-One green; one red-
When I call her my
Lantern-Lit
Vessel of
Wisdom.
