Totems (www.linsdomain.com):

Dragon Totem: Protection, Elemental Magic

If you have a Dragon, your soul has lived during a time when spiritual practices were predominant. It is rare that a younger soul would have a Dragon totem. Dragon represents the supernatural, infinity itself and the spiritual powers of change and transformation. It is a fierce protector and adds extra power to any magic you may perform.

A Fire Dragon Totem brings vitality, enthusiasm and courage. He will help you overcome obstacles and give you qualities of leadership and mastery. He can fuel your inner fires. He is a powerful protector. Fire is the element of transformation, so he can help you transform yourself, your life or change the energy around others.

An Air Dragon Totem brings Inspiration, Insight, and Vitality. This totem must be treated with great respect. Great flashes of illumination in intellect and psyche are possible with this totem. The Air Dragon brings insight and clarity to all problems. Trust your inner voice.

An Earth Dragon Totem brings Power, Potential, and Riches. This totem shows us our potential, our riches: what we are capable of. With his help, we can discover the beauty and power that lies in all of us. He lives deep within the Earth and can help you ground scattered energies. When you call him, think of a slow moving, heavy Dragon pulling himself toward you. Feel his weight around you. He will nurture you as Mother Earth does.

A Water Dragon Totem brings Passion, Depth, and Connection. This totem brings memories and wishes, perhaps long hidden, to the surface. By facing painful past experiences, we can achieve a sense of peace and balance in our lives. This totem gives us the courage and compassion in this challenge. This Dragon also has the gift of emotional healing since he lives in the element of Water.

Tiger Animal Totem: Passion, Power, Devotion

Tiger's gift is focus, patience, and the ability to heal quickly, both physically and emotionally. Healers often have a Tiger totem. It is very important for Tiger people to have time alone in their own special place. Tiger is the symbol of darkness and the new Moon. When a Tiger totem enters your life, expect new adventures. It will awaken new passion and power. Tiger people do their best work at night. They are very sensual and passionate people and devoted parents. Your best work will be done at night. Tigers are associated with water and have all the properties of the element of Water - healing, power through gentle flow, feminine energies.

Camel Animal Totem: Replenishment, Survival

Camel is one of the two survival totems - the other is Cockroach. This totem gives you the strength to get over the hurdles that life throws at you and endure. Even though the road is hard and you don't have a lot of support, know that you will succeed in the end. Camel also gives you the ability to remain positive in the harshest of times and experiences. Camel philosophy is always "the glass is half full." Camel people often have unusual sleep habits, rarely sleeping through the night. They often power nap instead. This is the totem of accomplishing the impossible.

For Michael, a warrior and an inspiration*

You look at me like I'm weak
I am
Weakness is bending
Not breaking
It's how I show my strength

You look at me like I'm dark
I am
Darkness is brightness
Not reflecting
It's how I show I'm light

You look at me like I'm ill
I am
Illness is health
Not refracting
I call it the illness advantage
It's a mad, mad world...

Remove the mask
Strip to essentials
Remove the ballasts

A crossroads
An intersection divine
Don't rue the darkness on a boulevard of light

Lucifer's here
Will the deal go down?
Or are you hedging on up?

Flying in on the back of truth
As an agent of change
Write your own contract

Be just and align
Oblige yourself with Self
'Be like water my friend' (Bruce Lee)

Fill that vessel up
To overflowing
A soul is pedestrian

An overflowing soul leads to changency
An over~soul (Emerson)
Define your cosmology

Uninitiate is a good initiation
You have to strip your house down
To ensure true pitch

Attuning for those forks
A hollow reed
For a river of truth
'I cover what's true and I hide what is real but sometimes I bring out the courage in you.
What am I?' ~ a riddle from a hummingbird
A fourth-rate Mind
wants to be the big fish in a little pond
without realizing there's a bigger pond.

A third-rate Mind
is the big fish in a little pond
keeping other fish from leaving the little pond.

A second-rate Mind
wants to be in the big pond
but has too much self-doubt to try.

A first-rate Mind
realizes it doesn't really matter which pond it's in
and tries to grow regardless.
Following a whim~

A variation on a theme.

Used to be stuck,
so firmly rooted.
Like the ugly duck
had to be re-routed.

Fearfully and unluck,
my soul was muted.
Until to me struck,
and for once, all I disputed.

Can't do what's right
so I'll do what's left.
I'll follow this light
until my soul I put to rest.
