You took me
stained me
and left this permanent mark
but it can only be seen by looking at my heart
I walked in the coffee shop down the street
The clouds were dark as the rain poured down
I went into the coffee shop and took my seat
I look through the window a view of the town
The place was filled with noise of chattering
People get about and just making conversation
Fresh brewed coffee filled the air with its aroma
A girl walked in which caught my attention
She sat down on a table right next to mine
Hold onto a cup of coffee with a tear in her eye
I went over to her table and asked her why
" Just another bad day" was her reply
That was the start of our conversation
Drinking coffee and sharing our stories
Trading our secrets with no hesitation
Who knew all of the broken pieces
Could be fix with coffee and conversations
you were desire and i was the fire
keeping your flame alive though it was a tire
killing me slowly every second warmth was required
just to keep your cold heart afire

what would you do if the one you admire
isn't worth setting yourself on fire?

you had the drive and i barely survived
only to derive
that i was deprived
you made me believe that i was alive

but in real life,
i was no more than your test drive

you were Kurt and I was Courtney
love so toxic, you were killing me softly
only to know you were the first to fall deeply
into the dark paradise where it ends peacefully

our love was so toxic it could **** forty
only to take you away from me
love loss toxic relationship
i once came across
a young lad
who asked
if there is a band aid
for a broken soul

to his question
i remained silent
it was quite unusual
yet it was brave
and it was what reality is

that was the moment i knew
no such thing exists
for a broken soul
can only be mended by
the love he never knew
