We walked along the edge of the ocean,
Were our feet met the sea
Shes gripped my hand a little tighter
Then whispered something to me,

She said,

When we get home
I've got something to show you
Something your dying to see
I know you'll love it,
It's for you,from me..
A gentleman never tells
I never wanted you

I did fall a little

but nothing more than that

I liked the way you held my hand

And I adore the nearness of you

Our conversations never get old

And you make me smile in ways I don't know

But I know everything isn't what it is

If you think you had me fooled

Truth is...I never wanted you
I wrote this poem nearly 2 years ago about someone back in Senior year. He was the worst guy I ever met yet he gave me the worst heartbreak ever. Moved on from him, though.
He fell in love,
With the idea of her.
But he realized too late
that ideas aren't people
and they never do
what you expect.
People aren't things to dream about.
People are imperfect beings
And they don't fit into
Your misunderstood notions.
Foolish ideas, foolish emotions,
Now he's her fool,
Juggling his own life
For her entertainment.
