Lower, lower, a little more to the right, right,
so I work my way down ahead of the rain,
laboring under the gaze of a robin overseer
relaying your wanton desire in bossy birdsong.
She keeps an eye out for worms while I mind
the angle of the rake, ride grassy undulations,
tines biting into your arching back.
There's a beauty in darkness that isn't always noticed.
When you become void of one of your senses,
when the water of sightlessness hungrily rushes your lungs, and you acclimate yourself to the fact that the fear can only last for so long,
you will be freed from the burdens of sight.
From the overbearing pictures of the outside world

I kissed your back this evening when I spooned you. It was hot and just a little into summer but we didn't mind the heat. You said it feels like the best thing ever, to be held close by a person you loved and craved. I trailed my fingers lightly along the curves of your body which reminded me of the mountains and trails I've walked on.

You turned around and told me to go to sleep as you held me close this time, mirroring me in your arms. "Baby, I know we've done this millions of time but I kept on falling for this, I keep on falling in love with you." I remember telling you this when you were too fast asleep in my arms after hours of trying to study your material.

"It's because when I do it, I do it like it's the first time. Like this, like this and like this."

You kissed my forehead gently.
You kissed my lips again, and again the longest.
You held me in your arms till I fell asleep.

You're right. You always do the things that is going to me fall in love with you. I am and I will always do, just like the first time.

And when I can't think straight
And the day is growing late
I can't take a chance
I just let it go and dance!

And when the heart grows cold
Ah the dreams of old
All the hopes and aims
Now just a waiting game

Now the words flow fast
Emotions don't last
A song of fleeting desire
Lifts the spirit higher

But as the night winds blow
And they're wrapping up the show
Still I raise my weary hands
I let it go and dance..!
Why walk when you can dance!
(I'm not a very good dancer..but then again I'm not a very good writer either..And since when does that stop me! Haha!)
"He that shouts loudest will be heard"
Said the man at the back of the queue
The rest of the people waiting observed
to see what he would actually do.
"Them that live the longest they know alright!"
The people waiting were now slightly bemused.
They wondered if in his head he was quite right
or if indeed he was just very confused.
The man at the back went very quiet in the queue
An air of mystery started to spread
They wondered if he was real like you do
He that shouts the loudest will be heard he had said.
Well that man at the back did not exist
We all have a voice in which to express how we feel
That being the case how could we resist
Them that live the longest know that that is real.

the first is the old sad looking man
he lives in the group home
i bet he’s supposed to have a walker
perhaps he refuses to use it
his body resembles a skeleton, and
he always goes through the sad park
the one that gives splinters
the one with far too much garbage
he follows the path all day,
usually pacing back and forth
i said hello once,
he did not hear me
(or maybe he just didn’t care)
i always see him, even in the cold
he is the most common of all

then, there is me
(the girl with the short hair)
she goes nowhere in particular
dark clothes, tired gait
i saw her light a cigarette once
although she never put it to her lips
she never really says hello
she just looks at you,
like “what’re you waiting for?”
she walks in the middle of the street
at midnight, all alone
she steals flowers from her neighbor
and carries them away
to the tiny house on the corner

lastly, there's the boy with the bike
he has autism if i remember
alex with the sandy brown hair
blue house, chipped paint
he never wears a helmet
i am curious if his parents mind it
when he leaves the house,
does he tell them he’s going?
he constantly talks to himself
he said hello to me once,
but called me by a name i didn’t recognize
he always bikes in circles
maybe he’s looking for something.

in the middle of the street at night, back on pavement
i can't count the stars, the city lights ruined that for me
(but that's is not the point, maybe i'll write about that tomorrow).

i'm here so i can think
similarly to a fire,
the brain needs oxygen otherwise it shuts down
maybe i should rather be giving it water

i carry a cigarette in my jacket pocket, just in case
i have some liquor in my closet, just in case
it is a precaution for the case in which i lie in the street

it is a bit like:
-having your mom on speed dial
-checking your bank account
-getting tested for ******
I leave a trail of clothes
when i take a shower,
i tend to sleep in so if i could i'd
make it so that day has one more hour.

I try to say only the nice things,
but i'll always end up hurting someone.
In a relationship for 7 years,
I am really scared to mess it up,
Because i think that he is the one.

I wear my heart on a sleeve,
and i support gay rights,
because i strongly believe that,
love is love no matter what .

I cry for happy moments in movies,
i have a cat, and he is my best friend,
i have two plants that i forget to water,
i never follow fashion so i'm never in trend.

i am often scared but i never show,
because i am raised to stay strong,
So when i come home i weep alone.
I try to do all the right things,
but most of the times they end up wrong.

i have a roommate and she is nice,
a few friends that come and go,
i hope that someday i'll get married,
cuz i am scared of dying alone.
i wanted to make a challenge where people can tall something about themselves. if you feel like it please do, i would love to read it (:
