David Hall
you know the value of a word
and can place it with great care
you see colors in a rainbow
others wouldn’t know were there
you can find the silver lining
of the darkest thunder cloud
or make a grown man weep
when he reads your words out loud
you live your life wide open
wear your heart upon your sleeve
give your friends the gift of laughter
and console them when they grieve
you take all the pieces of a life
and use words to make the whole
if you're reading this right now
it means you have a poets soul
There are so many wonderful people and poets on this site, this is my thank you for being awesome poem.

The Dragon Prince
A broken clock
With stuttering tocks
A twisted hand to fear
Grid-lock gears to hear
The pendulum
Still swings in sync with my heart

*Silver is just a title
This one is for my mate Aidra, or Skaidrum as she is known.

Death-throws
I have become death eater of words
I have become death, destroyer of books
I have become death, Savager of pages
I have become death
neglect at my side
And with no pride
Destroying all that once aided man kind
bringing suffering to all that was written in lines
and hummed in rhymes
and sung in time
knowledge ignored is knowledge consumed in dust
so sit with me and watch the world turn to rust
and they told me ignorance is bliss

Death has been waiting long
Death has been patient
But now Death has come

I'm sorry that every song is about you.
It's all I have now.
