Standing in the ally to meet a backstreet ***** grinder
With barbed wire wrapped around my ankles,
Lord knows my day could have started out kinder,
And all the Marlboro's under my boot-heels are tangled,
And I found her there with her contagious smile
Even her half-finished glaze that she does twice
Is so infectious and temptingly concise,
It's like a love-letter she writes on the back of your eyelids,
See it glowing in the dark in shades of turquoise, it forbids
Crying out that on one else will ever read it,
Because lots of people want that, few of them need it.
