i knew a boy with brown hair
like flowing locks of a mare.
we talked and talked
i was the one he stalked.
we grew close
until we both became morose.
he changed his hair to black
and let my feelings crack.
he stole my joy,
and i let a boy
change me so much
by just a simple touch.
naive is what i was
and that is ‘cause
he changed
and deranged.
I was left alone
i even tried calling his phone,
but nothing would work.
he passed my gloomy face with a smirk.
now i know
to keep my feelings low
so a black haired boy
will not turn me into a toy.

standing in a crowded room
while dancing in slow motion.
you run your hands down my dress,
adrenaline rushing faster
and words whispered in our ears.
forget the disasters wandering near.
you reak of cologne, but it’s all too familiar.
you grab my waist and pull me closer
reminding me of last year.
we were torn apart
but now we’re together.
I won’t let you loose
because i don’t want to lose you again.

Moon coquettishly swinged
In your hazel hedge of eyes
As you gnawked with propensity
Deep down in my fierce eyes
In the mourning of the darkest nights
Alone as we boiled and burnt
A knocking shiver down the spine
The twinkle of lamps faded
As you strided
Precociously ushered
Hold my dreary hands
As my veins exploded
My pulse accelerated
You sighed, I was breathless.....
I dormantly backed for anybody to intervene..

“I want to be a good man”
He tells you with eyes like a summer storm
All roaring thunder and howling wind
“Help me be a good man”
And so you help him

You lead him to the well
You show him how to drink
And you think this is love
You think this is how it grows

“I want to be a good man”
He tells you with eyes like a summer storm
All shadowed intent and a flash of warning
“Help me be a good man”
But you don’t want to help him anymore

You lead him to the well
Try to leave as he forces you to stay
Watch as the blood washes from his hands
And you think this is love
This is how it wilts

“I want to be a good man”
He looks at you and his eyes are red
You’ve long since adjusted to their madness
“Help me be a good man”
But you won’t help him anymore

You lead him to the well
Push him in when his back is turned
Watch him drown as he reaches upwards
And you think this is love
This is how it returns to you
This poem is about loving a toxic man and learning to leave to love yourself. The imagery here refers to the heart as a “well”
