Petal pie
Today tastes like
Satisfied saturday lie ins
and accompanied sleepy yawns
Tea in bed
toast crumbs

Today tastes like
Washing pegs I hold in my mouth
while ******* things
out on the line

Today tastes like
Saturday sweetie day
peanut m n m's
and other sugary
treats hooray!

Today tastes like a trip to the zoo
animal antics
fruit bats
meerkats
and tamarin tantrics

Today tastes like
My son's hearty hugs
he's been away all week
with the scouts
a hearty dinner
whilst he recounts
his trip's losers and winners

Today tastes like
brightly coloured family
television shows
of sofa time and
cheesey toes
(before i put the boys
in the bath)

Today tastes like
relaxation
tea and more tea
Maybe I'll allow
myself a
cheeky glass of wine
to further relax
and unwind!

Petal pie
Having hindsight is all very well
But more  foresight would be just swell
For now I will be content to dwell
On my sense of sight and so I tell
Thee for all the wonders
I daily see
I feel blessed
Now come sit
And count them with me :-)

Petal pie
Waxing and waning
Faxing and feigning
        Flexing and texting
Tweeting is fleeting
        Facebooking onlooking
Hello Poetry Goodbye monotony!
Just a silly stream of consciousness! ***
Borrowed thoughts fade away
Wrapped with someone else’s sentiments
It loses the unique essence
Impoverished souls foraging among treasures
Trying to survive on borrowed wealth

Wait for me, on the first midday of sweet summer,
your teenage smile warmer than the melting sun.
In playful garb and colour we've only just begun.

Wait for me, last day of awesome Autumn,
a kiss past six at day break,
the leaves of uncertainty have fallen and happiness lies in its wake.

Wait for me in wondrous winters starry midnight,
You command my delight, with your frosted lips of rose gold,
My heart swelling with desire at the fusing of our souls..

Wait for me floating at sunset in Easter's eternal spring.
Hope springs forth from the fertile soil of trust, where love is blossoming..

Wait for me ....oh  Wait for me there, I'm coming
Shredded liver
tattered soul
Feelings splintered
fractured bones
Heartbroken
mind blown

Walking shoes
   with worn soles

I'm merely collecting pieces
trying to be whole
Footsteps to and fro
going this alone
trying to dethrone
these nomadic throes

Still I cant see down the road
and I know theres miles to go.

My longing needed a face
I particularly liked yours.

My thoughts needed nourishment
I chopped bits of you to chew on.

Hear me with your heart against mine
Taste me with  your mouth on mine

You are the ink that flows in my verse
You are more than ink, more than verse...
