It’s lonely world for those who try
Who call their shadow their best friend
Because no matter how much they cry
They’re always alone in the end

It’s a lonely world for those who love
Who live to give but never receive
Their screams and cries fill roads
Drenched with the longing to leave

It’s a lonely world for those who hide
Who’s heartbeats quicken as strangers pass by
They sing themselves to sleep at night
While down their faces tears slide

It’s a lonely world for people like me
But a beautiful one for people like you
You see, we’re different, you and I
My wishes just don’t come true

Hey, I can see you
It’s been a long day, you should take a break
I promise I won’t leave you
Even if you’re here hours, I’ll stay

You’ve not been smiling lately
That’s okay, not everyone does
Just know you’re not alone, there’s me
Even if we’re silent, you’re still loved

Whenever you’re ready just say goodbye
Maybe we’ll meet again soon
It’s okay, don’t look at the time
I’d stay here forever with you

Through shattered glass I see so clearly
The euphony of events that once befell me
Tracing my steps in time’s chronicle
I caress the memory, old yet honourable

Every night a ghost to insomniac regime
Once so eminent, now detained in dreams
A blink of the eye turns to tears cascading
Like a dandelion whisper, toxic and fleeting

Wisps of fire lace the skies
Curdling ebony bloodshot eyes
An old letter lay in midst of downfall
As every transgression aligns to crumble

— The End —
