When your figure strikes me
I can only become one thing
Your humble servant, a devotee
With you as my enchanting king

Fascination flows through my veins
Only a scattering thoughts remain
The bewitching way you impel me to care
Or how brazenly you cause me to stare

Delusions will cloud my senses
I’m gazing through rose colored lenses
As I follow in your footsteps
But never close enough to vex

Either way I’m invisible to you
Never to be heard always out of view
My fixation must be felt from afar
So others don’t think me too bizar

It is known that what I feel
Is not to be confused with affection
As I sit here having to conceal
My indefinite obsession

Butterflies
The slight twinge in your chest when they utter your name
The subtle way they shine bringing everyone to shame
You’re glances short, sweet and persistent
Trying to be subtle trying to resist and
Failing miserably ever so happily
Being drawn to them ever so hopelessly

All the color in the world seems to drain
As soon as they walk away
They are your light, your beacon
Make your knees feel weak and
When they look you in the eyes
Butterflies.

There is a pit
Cold and unlit
Where more often then not
My heart will suddenly drop
This pit is otherworldly
Incommodious with too much gravity

I used to fall often
Into my mental coffin
My senses were deprived
Until much later when I’d be revived
First it took months, then weeks then days
A shock suddenly having sunny days

I grew and grew like flower
Relishing in new found power
Forgetting about the pit
Perhaps afraid to admit
That when autumn comes the flowers decay
And that I may have to wait for the next spring day

An apology
I apologise for the differences between us
For the controversy that caused our constant quarrels
I really do want to celebrate our differences- believe me, I do
But it is difficult if those same differences push me away you
I'm sorry that I do not know how to separate my mouth from my mind
So I apologise in advance if my words make you feel undermined

We grow older by the second
Every breath wasted by another insignificant fight
I do not know why we can't accept
Our differences, though try as we might

I apologise for me not wanting to fit in all the time
Or for trying to defy your definitions of me
Or for time and time again changing the version of me that you get to see

I apologize  if I was never completely grateful of your attention
I regret that to this day
But I hope you can forgive me
That's all I have to say
