A SNIPPET INTO MY HEART

“I had been sleeping.
I was trapped in a dream,
I never wanted to wake up, but you forced me to.
The Lavender Palace has been destroyed.
You and I, both alike in suffering.
Looking for the remains of my heart, I fall into desperation.
I can’t find them, so I bet you have them.
Something has changed about us.

Why I write

These words are for me,
For I'm the one who's hurting,
I'm just healing myself.

I often wonder why we can't understand other's poems sometimes, but deep down it is the one who writes it knows the value of it.
