I caterwauled down the catwalk
meowing and howling
to drown out the call of the void
letting the cats now I'm a catch
to be a pet they could pet
but once I saw the miles to the aisle
I ran way down the runway
setting a manifest for the planet next
unable to be able
to sit still on the window sill
and take in what I've taken on
staring at stars or caring about cars
I pick a solitary peak to perch
and look down on more content creatures.

I know that I will spend the rest of my life with you, for you.
I know that we will spend many nights, both sleepless and slumbering, together.
I know that I will spend every day of my life thinking about you and wanting to care for you.

Society may never accept us and I might never tell my family about you, but if what we feel isn't marriage then I don't want it.
I know what we have is much sweeter than the most saccharin nectars of heaven. I don't care if Satan is my roommate, if that means I got to live with you.
This one goes out to my dear darling Niya! I love you baby

I have a lover..
her smile shines brighter than the sun itself,
her sorrow is deep as seas..
she fumbles her words and cant say the things she means
but i know she knows how much she means to me.

but lately things haven't been so peachy
as if the fruit of our relationship has turned sour..
my words are like fire and she feels like glass
just a fall away from crumbling..
She takes the heat of my words at a point blank range
and i'm so sure that she's ready to leave the stage

but she doesn't..
she stays.

Crow
we do not write poetry
we write mirrors
which are held up
to curious faces
who read
looking for their
own reflections

I used to read your poems
but lately you don't write
you're silent and aloof
you know that isn't right.
You can't close a door once opened
you can't abolish all your dreams
you're a poet of the heart
mustn't fall apart at the seams.
Say what you can in words
they speak the message true
spoken from the heart
the poems will see you through.
A hermit's not your style
a recluse, you are not
never give up writing
of things that you've been taught.
I used to read your poems
I'd read them once again
if you would send them out
(this one's from a poet friend)

Bread pudding and cake

Sweets so sweet
They make my teeth rot

But you’re even sweeter than that.

Because darling, you make my insides rot

And what could be worse than that
