i am in a haze today. it is cloudy and beautiful outside. it is also pressing down on my chest and i struggle for air. i wore your shirt to bed last night and it helped steady my oxygen supply. i wish you were here to say my name and speak to me in my native tongue to remind who i am and where i've come from. i'm forgetting everything, slowly. recreating yourself is only good when you haven't done it five thousand times over. i just want to be me now. but how do i become me if there is no you? pick me up from the library and walk me to class. hold my hand and tell me that you will stay with me no matter how grey the sky is or how cold my fingers feel.

A thousand years from now,
there would be no more me.
The streets will be brand new
And civilization will have taken a different dimension.

A thousand years from now,
technology would replace human digestion process.
A thousand years from now,
men of amazing genius will walk on the sky.

A thousand years from now,
Science will repaint the sky.
A thousand years from now,
The world would rewire it's solar system.

A thousand years from now,
would I still be remembered?
A thousand years from now,
Will the grave have curtailed me?

A thousand years from now,
I would still be with you.
A thousand years from now,
My pen will still wipe your tears.
Dedicated to all who come behind me.

Sorry to tell you,
but we are not one in the same.
Bloodily tied by our fully extended limbs,
we hold onto different blame.
Attached by cordial hellos
and torn apart by distance,
we should never have to try this hard to find consistence.
Although time has become just a number, and hurt has become my armour
I will never forget your choices.

With tears of joy in her eyes
She saw you come to life
For the very first time
While you cried,she smiled

You were placed on her arms
She wiped the trickle of tear by her eye
Clamped by her hands,
Inexplicable was the joy in her heart

Then you grew into a toddler
You won her heart like its your birth right
She would have sleepless nights
Just to ensure you were alright

Changed your diapers every six hours
Understood all your gestures
Tried her best to stop your cries
Cautioned your plays
She'll clean up your mess in the presence of her friends with no shame

Years went by
You grew to be a teenager
And she's still nearby
Heeding to your complain and inner cries

Even though she reprimands
She fands to meet your daily demands
Guides you on your next path

In years to come
She'll still be by your side
Teaching you the secret of live
But she won't be forever
So appreciate her while she's still nearby

I see you all,
You night owls,
Perched up high in your trees,
Wide awake in the darkest of hours,
Hunting for the words that hasten the dawn and sleep,
For the words that will set you free.
Lift the lid of that happy thought
And joy and enthusiasm come bubbling from below.
Open the door to that new idea
And creativity and imagination begin to flow.

Pave the way for that dream still unfulfilled
And goals and projects tumble into view.
Press the trigger for that surprise event
And excitement and anticipation arrive on cue.

Hoist aloft that adventure yet unplanned
And childlike delight gambols gaily in.
Remove the veil of that peaceful, encouraging word
And gratitude breaks into the broadest grin.

Slam the door on worries and misgivings
And that cold tingle of stress will wriggle away.
Close the shutters to doubt and apprehension
And disquiet and anxiety will be held at bay.

Batten down the hatches against fear and dread
And pessimism and gloom briskly are dispersed.
Bar the way to suspicions and mistrust
So jealousy and resentment can't do their worst.

Seal up the access to anger and violence
And confidence and assurance will soon arrive.
Lock the entrance to malice and hatred
And peace and hope and love begin to thrive.
Chin propped on elbows, a young boy gazes up into space
And the moon stares right back with that look on its face.
He dreams of astronauts and shuttles and rockets
And cute tiny Martians that would fit in his pockets.

He imagines floating through space, where gravity is zero,
Fighting off savage aliens to return home a hero.
Exploring the far reaches of the known universe
Discovering galaxies with an insatiable thirst.

Dodging around asteroid storms, skirting meteor showers
Out-manoeuvring strange space creatures with his rocket-blast powers.
His eyelids begin to droop, his Mum steers him to bed
Where dreams of leaping in moon-boots dance through his head.
