Received a surprise.

A massive ball
of depression,
anxiety and
hyperventilation.
All laced and
bundled up
with fancy ribbon
tied in a bow,
served on
an ornate platter
and accompanied by
a quaint little
card which I
only read later.

It read,

“Choke on this *******.
Happy birthday.”

.
"Peace!"
Cried,
The diversity of humanity
to
Their true
gods.
The human misery dept.
Is in full swing
Cold hearted and mean
Making people's lives feel miserable
As if they don't mean a thing.

Making it harder to go from here to there
More unreachable
More fearful
No compassion
No empathy
Nothing.

It's hard to get on
When the time has come
And not yet passed,

But time moves on and nothing is forever.

Better hold on.

Nuclear winds blow
And like the weather man said
The winds they blow everywhere

The human misery dept.'s busy
Maybe it always is
One of these days
We'll shut it down
And that'll be the way it is.
Do you want to go dance in the moonlight?

Where?

Dry Lagoon around the rocky bend
Just past the tide pools
Anenomies and Star Fish
Where the beach is
Where the agates, glassy yellow shine
in the horizon sun

Sounds good
When are you coming?

Around six thirty-five
There's a harvest moon rising
I have Del Shannon and the Drifters on the Spotify

My mom is in a mood
I don't know if she'll let me go
She's being way to profound
yelling at the t.v.

It's okay
Tell her you're gonna find some bliss
She won't know what to do with this

You're my sweetie
Come and get me
I've got a baggie for the agates
A "bonnet" for the sun
I don't know the Drifters
But come on around
and
Give me some

K.

Remember, save the last dance for me.
Quite a day of amazing poetry, so many brilliant writes, so much tragedy out there in our world.  This is just a wispy interlude, hoping to make you smile
LIFELINES

Her dead husband
trapped behind glass

laughs from his
faded photograph.

He stands in a field
of wallpaper roses.

She knits & knits
as if

she was knitting
time.

Time is cast on.
She never drops a stitch.

"Purl..purl...purl"
her tabby purrs.

At night she unravels
the day's knitting

as if disposing of all
that wasted time.

Time is cast off.

Tomorrow she will
begin again

the endless endless knitting
that is neither

scarf or cardigan
a... nothing.

A car headlight sweeps
across her husband's face

brings him alive
for an instant

and then he is
dead

forever again.

The knitting needles
pierce the blue

ball of wool
that will be tomorrow.

Sleep at last is
kind to her.

She hopes Death
will find her soon

so that tomorrow
need not be

knitted. . .
A lifeline is a strand of yarn that is inserted into the work so that, if an error is encountered, it is easy to rip back to that point. Lifelines are often used in lace knitting. Leave lifelines in your work until the piece is complete. To insert a lifeline, thread a tapestry needle with…
Tequila
Tears
And art
Passion flowers
ignite
Fierce surrender
Holding on tight
Taking hold of the darkening night
Turning Twisting
On a friend's vacant bed
Igniting
Finding
Kalidiscope colors
Exploding into sound

Peaceful sleep
Entangled in arms sweet embrace

Memorable nights
in life
in memory
are played out
more than twice

Revisited
from time to time
through out one's life.
Everybody goes away
Everybody goes away
You might go on home
But you're gonna find
Everyone goes away some day

The parents of parents, they went away
Parents, they go away, far to soon
Children, too, they go away

Everybody goes away one day

When you're caught in the middle
It might seem like forever
Always thought I'd be immortal
Now I know my foot is on time's throttle

It might be cruel, it might be unkind
It might be a blessing in disguise
It might even drive you
straight out of your mind
It's going to change your life forever

Just like all those people in any 1950's movie

Everybody goes away
Goes away some day

Maybe that's tomorrow
Today is already becoming yesterday
The only thing for certain
I've already paid my taxes

Everybody goes their way
Everybody goes away some day
Everybody goes away one day.
michael dreams
of things that he sees
in his mind
at any given time
pulls out paper and pen
jots down again and again
everything that michael dreams

michael rhymes
all that he finds
everyday
then gives it away
bringing such joy
like the first day of a new toy
that is why michael rhymes

michael flies
all of the time
sets himself free
without any wings
plotting a course in his mind
through his dreams and his rhymes
that is how michael flies
Joys
of
imagined
**** scenarios
Never
having to say
"Sorry".
