My name is Lizzie. I'm 17 and in my Senior year of high school. Time just flew by and now I'm basically staring college applications and my second SAT in the face. Crap. / / Fun fact: I'm a bit of a bookworm. / / A couple years back my cousin suggested I try my hand at poetry, something I'd never really liked writing. I'd had the naive notion that all poetry had to rhyme or was just extremely difficult to compose. After having my eyes opened to the truth I wrote my first poem. I can't tell you the feeling I had when I was praised for it. From that point, I continued to write more poems and hope to write plenty more just for fun. I'd also just like to say thanks to all of those who read my poems. / / My advice: Don't think too much about what you write. Just write what comes to mind even if its sparked just from an idea. It doesn't need to be perfect at first, that's what revisions are for. / / Have fun.
