"twirl" poems
Speaking of broken hearts and mended fenced in mem'ries   I am painting skies of tangerine, saffron & an illuminated lilac hue against the starkly contrasted crisp cornflower blue, stretching canvas that is along with all the other blindingly beautiful colors of a twilight sky And those dripping cotton candy stratospheric clouds Ice crystals freezing into supercooled water droplets Streaking the sky in cirrus whispers ..I hear them whisper, "hello"... Blinding beauty through unadulterated sunlight I am fleeced like a lamb watching in awe, ..in wonder then stomping sounds of coming thunder, Finding depth and height out  in the stratosphere Blinded by the After Light or afterglow affected by the amount of haze I'm in a daze ...as I am reaching High above the fading light of a brilliant early fall sunset I take a big breath of that sumptuous air and twirl my skirted legs my painted toes where I know I am back to solid ground Appreciating the last time I say sleep well to you  my dear summertimes sweet mem'ries and the fun we had this year. "After Light"
The darkness is lightened By the stars in the sky And I am not frightened With you by my side You hold my hand As we lie in the grass We talk about our favorite bands And things from our past We discuss the earth, moon, and sun And the origins of life We wonder why people use guns And why there is so much strife You stare into my eyes Moonlight twinkles in yours For a moment we are hypnotized Then the rain starts to pour Both of us laugh We leap off the ground The sky shows its wrath And you twirl me around With your hands on my waist We enjoy the refreshing shower I can feel our hearts race And the world feels like ours

Nighttime
Filter the perfect shade of the forenoon sun, Not too bright, not too dull. For with ease and carefree thoughts, You let the sunbeam-drizzling fairies play As the beauty reflected in your retinas. Capture this scenic view: Where the burnt chestnut colored oaks And mudstained sweetheart sundress of yours Dance in three-four beats of waltz. The Crayola strokes of the skies And the watercolor streaks of daydreams and nightmares Paint the canvas of your disquited thoughts. This is the peripheral view from your suncrashed irises and corners, This is your world. Let your knees down to your sore feet Be engulfed by the chasms of the bewildered grass, As the smile makes it way to your plump spring lips; Callused fingers from guitar strings Twirl and twist the blades, Cutting through flesh And green and red and blue and yellow, All sorts of color came spilling from your playful bruise. From this panoramic view of yours Of a wonder wonderland, Where the ticks of clock Follow the sunflower throughout time and forever, This is the beauty of that stem: A key to escapism To a well-dreamt lovely world.

Rio's Sunflower
I met her once a little, blind girl who had let me inside her wonderful world. Yes, she couldn't see, the girl with eyes bright. Yet, she loved her world like she never lost her sight. She heard the music of the breeze that blew. The love for her world, it only grew. She acquainted me with that music she heard, from the buzz of the bees to the chirping of the birds. Yes, she couldn't see the wonders of life. Yet, she smiled without a sign of strife. She had beautiful eyes filled with wonder. I stood speechless and thought how could God make such a blunder? She danced and sang with a graceful twirl. How she loved her life the little, blind girl. She smiled and laughed, her face filled with joy. With wonder in her eyes, she was serene, yet coy. She felt her world beneath her tiny fingers and on me left a mark that would forever linger. Yes, she couldn't see the life that she felt. Yet, she never showed the sorrow that she dealt. Her world was dark. Yet,  she saw the Earth's true form pure and raw. Yes, she let me in. But I couldn't overstay. So, I excused myself politely and quietly walked away. I had met her once a little girl who couldn't see. Yes, she was a child but the happiest there could ever be

The Little, Blind Girl
You won't find another goddess like me Making all my words flow like poetry I'm a lyrical genius A metaphorical blasphemous A stream of consciousness To rock your world I'm not just another girl Make your minds spin and twirl I'm THE Poetry Goddess Making images with words Like paint on a canvas A visual impression on your mind A poet like me Is hard to come by Try to visualize Me walking away That's the day You'll say you're hardest goodbye Cuz a Poetry Goddess like me Is hard to come by

Poetry Goddess
Faces painted with colors that make girl's skin pop out. Eyes large and done up with circles around them Coverup hiding the blemishes that grew out of stress and fear Legs shaved and exposed under the beautiful gowns Smiles grow on their faces when they see their date; dashing in suits and winsome smiles. Small flower pins added to their beautiful dresses The night is ready. Legs spin around and around as they twirl, smiles in motions and hearts race. Sweat lingers down their faces as their laughs grow more. The night is ablaze. Everyone is smiling. But only one question lingers, "May I have this dance?"

Prom.
Holding hands to cross the street Feel the sand under my feet The way you twirl me, like a cotton candy man I feel so girly as you wind each curly strand When I'm growing up too fast And the world demands a lady You remind me of my past, Though it often might evade me Summer days and autumn leaves Wading through the endless trees The way you hold me when I just can't sleep at night I lay there coldly as you slowly soothe my mind After all is said and done, So thankful you're the one To bring back the daughter in me

The Daughter in Me
*Long lines looped the carousel the first time you gazed my eye, mounted on that chestnut mare, grasped tight to the reigns up high. I see his face around the bend, a corn dog in his hand. Locking eyes as I rise. I blush, above the crowd he stands.    Light flickers, mouths water delicate contoured lips laugh. I smile. The music hesitates along with my breath. I think I'll be staying awhile. Bewildered and a little dizzy, I dismount with a giggle. I lick my dry lips, dreamily, hoping he is single. With the wind, a light mist blows. I can see her slowly get wet, stumbling she falls my way. I'm excited, this day isn't over yet Drip, drip, drip upon my face, anxiously, I turn to hurry. In my haste, he catches my waist swallowing... I fall covertly. Lips moisten, I pull her near a kiss, slipped, tongues twirl, wanton whispers whisked away, drenched deep passion's unfurl. A stranger's kiss upon my lips beneath the dreary skies. Soaking wet, I'm still on fire He caught me by surprise. A stranger's kiss upon my lips beneath the queching skies. Heaven sent, a burning desire; she, such a welcomed surprise.*

The Affair At The Fair (A Collaboration)
Strings, strings, wrapping around porcelain skin, For why does the bruises not show? With a waist, hip, and two legs that are so thin, For why does the skin always glow? Hair that never sheds, nor grows, nor messes, For why does the girl not wash it? With a merry face that still never truly expresses, For why does the face not show even a slight fit? Stoic, conjoined, the feet never stomping, For why does the limbs never feel frostbit? Perhaps it is a lie that the being is a girl, As it is only with strings that she can ever twirl.

Stringed Girl
. I have seen her playing With light, edging her hair, In crescents so fair. I have watched her fingers Twirl and twine, beaming gold, Threshing precious hold. I have witnessed the taming Of the sun's rays, captured, Spinning in rapture. And I feel for the pale moon Who offers his frail, vestige light, While she sleeps at night.

Sun and Moon
You'll never know... When you'll be head over heels The most enchanting feeling in the world Your unknown desires, it reveals A current in you will endlessly twirl You'll never know... When happiness fills your heart Having a precious bundle of joy in your arms You'll realize in your life, he's the most important part Not forgetting, he'll make the best morning alarms You'll never know... When your heart will be scrunched Like a ball from a piece of paper Feels like your chest is being ruthlessly punched Your skin peeled off with a serrated scraper You'll never know... When a friend will turn his back Whose hand you held, all these years Intentionally causing an emotional attack In disbelief, you gather invisible tears You'll never know... When you'll be caught in an unexpected plight Daily reflections occur, due to lack of wisdom To ease your dark path, you yearn for a ray of light Nothing much you can do except to crave for freedom You'll never know... When the time comes, you might bleed to death Tears will flow drowning your skin As you breathe your last breath You wish you had more time to atone for your sins

You'll Never Know...
Inside my brain There is a tornado Spinning to infinity and beyond. God only knows how fast. My shoulders ache and my feet cramp. My wrists click And my eyes go damp. Inside my brain instead is a monsoon: A tumultuous storm that rages on. Waves froth and smash, Beating against the backs of my eyeballs. Sometimes they find their way Down my soft spotted cheeks. My lashes float to the earth One by one by one by one. Would you collect them for me Like discarded flower petals Down the aisle of my soul's chapel And press them into a scrapbook Full of twisted memories? Inside my brain is an H2O tornado Like reckless rainstorm pirouettes. My swirling view is blurred, But every so often I catch a clear picture Of the glowing whites of your eyes And I remember to fill my lungs, Head above the water, And breathe. Twirl, twist. Wind, mist. But don't panic, Because every so often I catch a clear picture Of you.

Tornado
Lick the words from my lips let them slide down your throat like fruited jewels, dark, hard candies that melt into cream a healing liquid oozing into my ventricles, pumping milky beats out through your cells permeating the deep of my wild My syllables will wrap themselves around your syntax frothy hybrids of buttered silk and irony heart-to-heart conversations that flow into the ether, as heaven's night endlessly begins We twirl our tongues into guttural utterings, lustful verse that glides from slick-fervored ice to an outpour of lava We feed each other dreams our saliva like honey dripping with dawn's tender glow as we open up like baby birds, begging to be nourished at all costs Here, in this lingual forest Your breath finds a home on my tastebuds, my tongue in your cheek In between the tumults of our exploding oceans This is how we love

Isn’t is strange how we notice things when it is too late? This is probably the last time that all of us will be in the car together. There will be no more midnight drives from hillside theatres. No more 2am dinner plans at kerbey lane. This is the first time that I have noticed that you twirl your hair when you drive. My eyes have shifted from cityscapes flying across backseat windows to watching you wrap your hair around your finger. It’s not slow and flirtatious, but quick and desparate, as if you're trying to distract yourself from the fact that we are growing up. It’s making me anxious, but I can’t look away. This is the first time that I noticed the change in our silence. We are driving down nearly empty highways, and we are leaving behind our time. We are no longer laughing, and this silence doesn’t feel like it usually does. For once, none of us have anything to say. Or maybe, we know that there is not enough time to say all of the things that we should and want to say. This is when I noticed how much I love driving down empty highways at midnight. Everything is slow, there is no rush, and, for once, there are no expectations of me. I am finally, truly noticing that there will never be enough time to tell you all that I love you, to hear you talk about science, to hear about your travels, to talk to you about your struggles, to drive, and laugh, and cry with you, to watch you twirl you hair. Now, we have grown up, and our distances will strain our years of friendships, and there will never be enough time with you.

***If I were a Rainbow The children would run to me Turning upside down, I would be an iridescent swing, The children would mount my rainbow wing Swaying high up in the starry skies ascending on the moon The children do bunny jumps, counting stars till noon Awestruck and desirous they pick a few The colours pink purple orange magenta and blue Swaying down to the flower garden They would pick flowers from the boughs laden Threading in a star and a flower into  an ornamental  garland Adorned as neckpieces , running around ,making one happy land If I were a Rainbow I would dismember all the semicircles making one hula hoop The children would gleefully twirl and sway into the  enormous loop If I were a Rainbow I would become one big ramp The children would joyously roller skate  up and down Lighting up the ramp If I were a Rainbow And all of these came true I would turn upside down making one radiant smile across the sky The children would happily smile back at me , waving me good bye***

If I Were A Rainbow
It's as if a storm blew in, torrential rains, metal bending winds and standing in the eye was you. Waves crashing. People locked up for days, hours, as time danced around -- the clocked stopped ticking. A foolish venture to see the cause of such array. To see. To touch. To feel. Your sight penetrating through the clouds, ripping apart my seams. You watch as I came undone; undone by the velvet in your eyes, the bend in your smile. I twirl as I am stripped clean in your eyes. You see every scrape, scar, bruise and every moment I have tried to sew back together. Your touch burns my flesh. Sear into me a moment I cannot forget, a moment I grasp for in the darkness when I am all alone. It's as if I can feel your fingerprint on my heart with every beat. As I stumble towards you, exposed and raw --- you absorb me. Absorb my pain, struggles, my darkness. You hold me so tightly it's as if when you breathe, I breathe the same breath. Your embrace calms the storm. Calms the rush of thoughts, fears, worries and emotions. As I look up into your eyes, you see my future. My happiness. My vision of happily ever after -- holding hands in the sunset, in the rain, in the snow. As the winds die down, as the rain lets up, as the oceans settle -- I see you clearly. I feel your heartbeat. I know I am right where I should be. The eye of you.

Eye
Endorphin showers for hours Crash my waves of sorrow and bring me muscles to shine on the world viewed as imperfect. Its the happiness I never want to leave but it drifts, its white cloud up and up, Contact high as it passes my friends I want to share To care for you all Vibe in this opposite of ominous parade bound for cheer, without beer just extracted hormones. I’ll twirl you like a pencil dizzy yet gay, for a day, where I can make someone you Happy:)

In the truck on my way home
Keep me in your arms Cherish me, like you always do Twirl my curls and stroke my hair Kiss me on the fore head sweetly I always want to be here My cheek on your chest Hearing the sound of your love Thumping a beautiful tune to my ear The beats gently reminds me Just how much you truly care Serenity surrounds me and I drift away Escaping the world and falling into us I see you in this little dream Meeting my eyes, inspecting my soul You're lost in me as I am lost in you The air filled with a careful chill I'm untouched for I am of fire A flame kindled by your fiery heart Of which burns of love, deep for me Clad in armor, you kneel at my side Oh dear and humble knight I'm honored to be your lady Like the wardrobe meets Narnia We're dreams that cross paths To a whole new world unlike any other A place of splendor and awe Radiating with gentle magic That is what we are, my dear protector Stay by my side a humble knight And I will be your faithful lady ~Lady Narnia

Daydreams of Narnia
Our world has many distractions, Many of which I've known. But here am I in the midst of it all, writing a poem to whom I don't know. Most of all I love you, More than you could know. And someone out there, near or far, To you my love does flow. I cannot help but think of holding hands, Crazy dancing and smiling glances, Movie nights and games with friends, Writing notes of silly romances. I'll sing you songs, Some sincere, others silly but true, Cause I'm just that kind of person, You'd best be crazy with me too! I'll try and love your sports, and support your teams with cheering, I'll bring you snacks, and cuddle up, Though on the inside I may be leering!! I'll make you cookies and huge cakes, whipped beautifully with cream, Even with this I'll be so happy, I may believe myself to dream. Oh darling, the future feels so far, Maybe I should embrace today, but what good is that to me, When half this heart is out at bay? They think me strange, and very different, Just waiting for my prince, Forever thinking to my tomorrow, Based on parent's experience. I'm sorry mother, father, It does hardly seem fair, But for you I will continue on this journey, A life lived with special care. And they are out there, living today's life, And while they're grounded there I twirl, Waiting for you to find in me: A precious, beautiful pearl

song of the beach
Jealousy is a loaded gun, And you made each of their names Bullets in my chamber. The end of the barrel Kisses me softly, Between the eyes, Where you used to. And as you twirl them all round in a Russian Roulette My finger quivers over the trigger. Sweat makes it impossible to grip And thinking back makes it Impossible To think forward... What next? You cocked it, The gun, So I'm ready to go. I think... Until, you reach out and try to save me. Your hand touching mine Losens my grip on the gun, My finger becomes limp and I come back to life as Your promises disarm me, Your reassurance unloads the gun and The bullets become evanescent in your kiss.

Death, by Envy
So I wanted to **** him! Of course I did. Didn't you? I only wanted a new twirl of genes on my belly, New legs, all ambition. I've got a city of curls, I need hands on them, A new voice on my name. You stand there green and wild at the hood, **** hurling ashtrays and lamps. Let's have a fight! A fist fight, That years ago I could have won. Is it done then? What a tragedy if it is! Because I'd pay for you to **** me now, Right now, While you hate me.

The music may have died for some That day in nineteen fifty nine Don McLean said that it ended But I say, it's just fine The day that Buddy died I feel it only took a wound and though it has been 60 years I think it's been re-tuned If silence reigned when the music died The Beatles would be missing They picked their  name for Buddy's group An act that had some hissing The Rolling Stones...would never play If the music died as told There would be no Exile on Main Street There would be no band so bold The Hollies, well that's simple They were named after the man If the music had really died that day Would Graham Nash still be a fan? To me it took a major wound A shot that slowed it down It changed music's direction Took it to another town With Elvis silent on German soil The Beatles took the lead They made sure music was living And many others did they breed Bobby Darin, Mama Cass Jimi Hendrix and The Pearl Jim Morrison and Brian Jones Made the music spin and twirl When Elvis Died, it slowed a bit With Lennon shot...some more But, the music never, ever died For those who're keeping score For each one lost...another comes To fill the void with sound It may have been quite wounded But the music's still around Each generation keeps it In it's own and special way That's why Buddy's music Is still played on air today So, please don't think the music Died way back in fifty nine Just look at all who've come on since All your favorites and all mine.
