tongue tasting iron prayers.

maroon patches, like cowhide on cotton.

smearing grief, across closed lips.

a blue coal sky, littered with stars.

red blooming beneath skin.

like a childhood teddy, clutched too hard.

sweetness dripping from the chin.

in the end, im wailing in water.

i drink and feast on pretty things.
my favourite lines from things I've written

summer is supposed to be fun
freeing and flying, shine and sun
but my summers have always been wrong
while other's are short, mine are too long
my summer is cruel, locked up with nowhere to go
I wish I could explain this to someone, but no one can know
that I feel like I'm imprisoned on top of this hill
summers are a bitter pill

I'm dizzy
I'm dying
I'm craving
I need
I want it
can't have it
help me please
I'm sick
I'm smoke
I need i can't have
I'm breathing
I'm better
I'm lying
I'm dying
I can't see
anything but
I need

Hey, there, boy

This one is for you

Your words are far

Too mature for your age

I find I might just love your brain

I could read all your poems

If you'd ask me to

Turn them into a song

Make a playlist and play them

All night long

You write for your friends

You write for your family

You write for love

But my favorite poems of yours

Are when you write for yourself

Your poems are beautiful.

For Abbott J Hardison
One day
You will notice me
And everything
Or nothing could be
Either way
It’d still be sweet
You’re missing out on
Just as much as me

I fell in love with all you are
Not just the light but every scar
The quiet truths you couldn’t share
I saw them still I deeply cared.

Your heart spoke softly though lips stayed still
A gentle pull I couldn’t will
You hid a part afraid I’d flee
But even then you had all of me.

Trust me when I say it’s true
I’ve loved you long before I knew
Before the world before the name
My love for you still burned the same.

And if your secret held you tight
I held you closer through the night
Because real love, it sees right through
And I was always seeing you.
I want this poem to speaks of quiet devotion, seeing through silence, and choosing love even when the truth is hidden. Dear I knew, even if you couldn’t say it. And still truly I loved you. All of you. The hidden parts, the fear, the truth. You never had to hide from me. I wish you knew.
There's something in the air
That makes me feel like I've been here before
The birds chirping
The sun disappearing and reappearing behind fluffy white clouds
The soft breeze
The heat
I've lived this summer before
Maybe in a different universe,
Another life time,
Or a dream...

Maybe I'm still asleep
when two hearts unite  love it blows your  mind
they become as one as they become entwined
growing even stronger each and everyday
love it last for ever and never goes away

its a special bond that two people share
with a special  love that is always there
that will last a lifetime each and everyday
bonded by your love  that is there to stay
