Lost in a state of confusion
Along with those winding roads
Fighting against the raging tide
Trapped in this place inside.
Those demons in your head
They are playing tricks again
But never underestimate your strength
Your down though you will survive.
Now you can blossom like flowers
For now your lost in disaray
And you walk that winding road
Just where are you heading too
No one can say for nobody knows.
Lets hope one day you'll find
That path you've been looking for
And reach out for that sunny sky
And leave those dark clouds behind.
A simple little poem about a not so simple time in life
Called adalesanc.
This time they walked in line
Uncertain what they would find
Not a walk with army troops
Who march along in heavy boots
Not a walk with mortar shells
The road were many in battle fell.
This walk was the way to peace
Were all those wars would face defeat.
This walk it led to a hopeful sign
Leaving those horrors  far behind.
This time they walked in line
Looking ahead to better times.
This walk was a future crystal clear
One of joy and not one of fear
Traveling together at a steady pace
That feeling of love and not of hate.
This time they walked in line
One that will stand the test of time.
This walk it had no barriers
No enemy at the end waiting there.
This time they walked in line
That new horizon there to find.
Walking away from war torn lands heading too that new horizon
Were peace abounds .
He spent his life  in factorys
Worked his fingers to the bone
Fifty years have come and gone
Now retired he stays at home.
A family he provided for
Now the children they have grown
They have all moved on and fled the nest
They've got to make it on there own.
He looks around at all four walls
And he wonders just were he is going
So he thinks about this thing called life
And writes about it in a poem.
He may like writing poems about life
But he drives his wife crazy being under
Her feet and not washing his cups after use.
I cannot describe this feeling
Of complete tranquility
Where the sweet birds sing
And the church bells ring
As I stroll within this cemetery.

My imagination running wild
I thought I saw a women
Then I thought I saw a child.
I heard the sound of laughter
But no one to be found

This is just my imagination
They are asleep beneath the ground.
Some years ago I  strolled within a cemetery
It was really Quiet .I find cemetery s very peaceful
And tranquil.

This is our time
We have been called
To say NO! MORE violence
Against woman and children
They can become great if we
Become the CATALYST
Remember a child only has one chance
It is written in support of
16 days of activism against gender based violence on woman and children here in South Africa

Ocean waves rise high
Powerful but can do no harm
The raging sea can do it's best
It's anger will be to no avail
Reduced to a mountain stream.
For love is the mighty force
Stronger than a hurricane
Unbeatable in its strength
It is built on solid ground
A foundation for well built towers.
Love is a friend that stands in wait
Those mighty waves subside
No sign of any turbulence
For love is unbreakable.
And all obstacles will be erased
For love is the power that will stand.
The power of love in its many forms
Romantic love and agape love .

fight they say
and the spirit will fight with you

and sometimes the hardest fight
is to admit you went so wrong
have you ever stopped to think
that maybe i raise my voice
not out of disrespect
but maybe
so you can listen?
listen.
there is a heart here, afraid. of you.
there is brokenness you inflicted. pain you named into existence.
wounds that maybe time will heal.
there is laughter that does not want you to hear it.
a song whispered so that you cannot have it.
one day the whisper will become a song.
the laughter a poem.
the heart a voice, saying,
i am here i am here i am here
i am here i am here i am here
i am here
and you will listen.

the drums of life
