‘Hiya baby, I’m sorry I was a *******,
I don’t mean to make excuses but I’ve been so tired lately’,
With a tear in his eye that was what he had said,
Praying it was enough for her to forgive him greatly,
But she didn’t want to be hurt anymore,
With head against his shoulder, caring.
She said her mind was at ****** war,
A fight that she was finding so unbaring,
His heart, in pieces, on the floor shattered,
Unable to love himself he found all his happiness in her.
She was the only thing that mattered.
