I tremble when you walk into the room.
You raise your hand and I wince.

I remember what you did to me.
Every second of every day;
I remember.

You don't care for me.
You don't love me.
You couldn't.
And I wouldn't want you to.

My life is difficult.
Living is difficult.

I can't continue life like this;
In fear.
I can't continue
life at all.

With each breath
I struggle.
With each step
I struggle.
With each word
I struggle.

I struggle because your actions have left a permanent scar.
Not only on my body, but on my soul.

I crave for relief.
For sanctuary.

And I know there is only one way I can find it.
This is a work of fiction
