Some days I wake
in the cooling clouds and rain
float into the unknown of day
sometimes I am nearly froze
in wintry dreams of streams and ponds
sometimes my feet in forests, treading mossy greens
I walk amid summer trees, that shine in a sun path, glistening
one day with autumn leaves, I'll go falling back to earth, so soon to sleep.
This is a basic social unit,
That goes through different situations and circumstances
Some, stay together....some do not
Most stick it out...........but, no matter what
At day's end, they exchange views,
Share smiles....tears....and laughter
Over wine...coffee...or tea...

Just like in a classroom, or gatherings
Every voice is heard...ideas, opinions considered
No one is intimidated...or alienated...
Lest they be driven far away
Til they go off...........astray...

Energy emitted
Is like an adhesive
That keeps everyone close by
They go to different places
Yet, to their comforting space,
They return.........they come home,

Where they feel their needs are
Provided
Whether they be
Physical
Emotional
Especially,
Spiritual
Where they learn the value of family

You...me...he...she,
It could be a parent
Or, a grandparent
A sibling, a daughter or a son,
Even grandchildren,
Any member,
Could be the one that makes everyone feel at home
The one that approximates distances
The one that serves as the
G l u e
To hold family together.

I believe it's time I straightened up
Knocked the dust from off my mind
Make some room for different thoughts
Find which ones I need to wipe

Rancorous experiences and sombre days
Or unending expectations of the people around me
Do my utmost to please hearts in different ways
Throbbing particles in my head, no one could see

As I feel my way along the fray
The razors edge that cuts too deep
Only in my minds eye can I blink away
All those thoughts that pressure me

Yes it is indeed time..
To deterge the nagging wounds in my mind
And cease the harsh ringing when they chime
Breathe them all out while I let my myself unwind

It was a such pleasure writing this with the lovely, Mike Hauser. Thank you Mike, for inviting me to do this with you, again. :))

words as a playground
let it go, the autumn
leaf, blown
by wintry winds.

let it go, this whirl,
its shivering
in the night.

ah, beyond,
there, where
there is nowhere.

All the rivers i longed,
a moist slightly rehearsing
dawn's dew, a glitter yet to be;

every shade of crimson
i concealed, sinking
the horizon in cooled suns;

each word i teared apart,
the weight of emptiness
forbidding to dare

- all i've declined
willingly
resigning life,

i have taken, to draw
a shore, your outline,
and, clandestine,

i watch, as the rain
washes away the horizon,
in the other side of the mirror.

Just edited the title (oh my, twice, already!)... although I really like the sound of 'Fair well to France', it might not help the meaning I intended.
Oh my, third time, to correct the spelling...
Till you can’t walk
Till you are sore,
Yet still smiling
from the thrilling experience,
Till you are sweating pleasure
from every pore.
Till your breath murmurs
my first name with every inhale
Till my voice is the only sound
your ears need to hear.

i would
rest my head on your breast
and listen
Enjoy the sweet tunes composed by
every noted word you harmonize

Tales of your life stories before they became entwined with mine
Narratives about your dreams
About who breaks your glassy heart
And what tickles your eye-ducts
into opening a flood of tears.

an inner world of wishes
she deserves beautiful things,
The Nubian Queen,
Sunflower Child.
