What a cute little demon
clumsy and incredulous
stumbling as I laugh at its
sharpened claws
that barely miss.

They swipe like silver blades
hissing as they slice the air clumsily,

with a hunger in its eyes
more dangerous then
King Arthur’s Siege Perilous.

Beastly in its countenance
when brave warriors encounter it
they found their bowls quickly emptied,
and scurried away like fools to be pitied,

but this little darling demon spawn
has actually never managed to
hurt anyone.

**** my soul
        with poetry
           scream out my gracious name
             slay me with words
               that peel my layers
                and simultaneously
                                   drive me
                                           insane

finger me slowly, hotly
with just the right rhythm and rhyme
    push me past my
                 tender limits
                       into tongues of syntax,
                                                      sublime

alliterate my senses
   (in swift stac
                    c-at
                           o)
until my mind is but blank verse
    mess up my stressed
              and unstressed syllables
in unsung language, versed

I will speak to you in vowels
(the only sound
I will be able to make)
as you stroke
   my iambic pentameter
             in the heat of frothed-up
                                                     ache

we are this heroic couplet, you see
even if the meaning seems veiled
no need for simile or metaphor
as I feel your chest rise
                              in deep inhale

we are a natural paradox
       so many ironies abound
         discordant harmony
is our synaesthesia
     in visible darkness found

and I love this delicious enjambment
as your aura invisibly slips
                               into mine
our lines have no beginning,
                                 no end
    as we undo
          the boundaries
                      of time

i swear to god i'm gonna die
in one of these nameless steakhouses
to a backtrack of classical jazz
with my back straight
and my legs crossed
in a pretty dress
and stockings
my hair pulled up tight
(i have a headache- no one cares)
when i get handed a menu,
i barely look
i'm getting the cheapest salad
because that's polite, right?

there is your sister, there is your sister brilliant and shining in every way you are not, and there is your brother, blindingly talented and everything you are not, and because they are the opposite of you, you expect them to be the same, but they aren't, there's 10 billion types of people and you are the worst of them
wavy face , wavy hair
raw naked vulnerable
reborn into the world, just coming out of a trip

i fell in love

with dilated pupils and an insatiable desire and unbounded awe

her hands
the childish , plumpness once there
gone , replaced with a maturity and a womanly affect
with nails reflected current inner stability

they fell in love

caressing and holding, her thumbs pressed up to open lips

moon like phases of excitement and apathy ,
alternating between pure experience and
happiness and
pain and
adventure
to recuperation and **** and self reflection and away with
the emotions she cant bear by herself anymore

she falls sometimes
holding on to love ,

giving love ,
waiting for love
if i imagine the nonexistent love of my life writing a love poem to me
Paperdoll
You're the secret I hide,
In the back of my closet.
A shoe box on a dusty shelf,
Filled with memories untold.
A tree hanging on a rack,
Crumpling for me to come back.
Paperdoll
Cut out in college rule,
We dance amongst the shadows.
Swirl and twirl in magical lights,
That shine and bring you to life.
Your exterior is bent and wrinkled,
Beneath our star that twinkles.
Paperdoll
We tip toe around the past,
Hoping all is safe and true.
You'll scatter in the sunrise,
With no evidence love or trust.
Only the sound of ripping in my ear,
A cruel reality you're not here.
