Sloth
The idyll which is deadly
to the transient mind
Aloft in the empty desire
to take nary a single step
to refuse oneself
to do nothing

Gluttony
The uncontrollable want which is deadly
to the fickle body
Drowning in irrational need
to consume
to devour oneself
until there is nothing left

Greed
The desperate craving which is deadly
to the unsatisfied palm
Reveling in destructive yearning
for things not needed
for things impossible to have
until rich with nothing

Lust
The mindless drive which is deadly
to the sinful being
Swamped in instinctive sensuality
of the pleasuring flesh
of the touching skin
until thoughts are nothing

Envy
The reined malice which is deadly
to the defenseless heart
Unseeing in the loathing for others' triumph
as the resentment festers
as the bitterness thrives
until the bloodstream is nothing but poison

Wrath
The burning rage which is deadly
to the peaceful soul
Cowering behind the crimson mask
of latent fear
of suppressed weakness
until nothing but hatred exists

Pride
The lofty eye which is deadly
to the humble person
Flying above the breathing clouds
above the fabric of reality
above heaven's brilliance
until the sky falls

until the earth is nothing.

Mike Hauser
Have you ever woken up startled
In the middle of the night

With the thought that your muse has left you
And cruelly turned out the lights

Leaving you afraid that in the morning
You'll wake up with no more rhyme

                    More often than not
                    These thoughts enter my head

Although I have often heard
Somethings are better left unsaid

I believe these thoughts I have
                    Would be better off dead

And these words that I now speak
Are they my muse or mine

And if the lights were turned off
Would that be that big a crime

When my muse tries to venture out
I believe the next time

I'll grab a hold, tie her up
And be the one to feed her the lines

Where she live
It rains bullets
And snows ash
From fires
Started with a crash
She breathe dirt
And debris
On a daily basis
The sky is black
The fields are too
The only thing in common
Is that they have a McDonalds too

MalaiDaisies
The
world is Your garden,
The brink of the seashore where reality
Is an illusion,

Just for a moment.
It is the sand you tread through
The moon that illuminates
Your stage, Your dais,

Just for a moment.
As alluring as the Goddess
Creating magic  with each step
The colors that contort into one another,

Just for a moment.

MalaiDaisies
Every silent morning
Gazing with warm eyes
From the cold, hard mirror
Is my image.

But when night falls,
That image disappears.
Gone with the wind
Away.

Do I cease to exist?
Why can't I see that person anymore?
Am I just
An illusion?

I'm asleep.
At least, I think I am.
I can't tell.
My eyes are closed, and I'm trying very hard to dream.
Truly.
My hands are blindly searching for something that's not there.
A television set with a white screen.
A blank canvas with a set of white paints.
A dry erase board with nothing to erase.
A black page in a book, waiting to be written on.
I open my eyes again.
I sigh.
My eyes close once more and I attempt to fall asleep.
