A shout out to LeBron
For a big night in Akron
A welcome win for the Cavaliers
Tonight against the TimberWolves.

Cavs finally ended the drought
Via the energy they brought.
Coach Tyronn Lue drew up a game plan
That finally brought a win to the land.

Both teams put up a spectacular show
Leaving the erratic Cavs fans like wow!
The combined 3s of forty was historic,
Shot by both teams was really fantastic!

Tonight LeBron played like a real GOAT!
Playing great basketball from all over the court!
The big block on Butler is not what this is about,
But the clutched game winner fadeaway he shot!

The King was on top of his game tonight. The one hand block over Butler and the buzzer-beating fade away over him again to win the game was everything!

My hope is to find comfort in words
More kind in nature than what they have heard,
Our two little angel Timberwolves.
Their hearts were so full
And impact so great-
Just seeing them smile was a blessing-
That goodbye was not something you said,
It was "see you later,"
For a promise of seeing them again.
None of us saw it,
There was nothing we could do,
But now we play every moment in our heads
Hoping to find a way to save them.
But all I play now are the happy moments:
The ones I heard them laugh,
Saw them smile,
And had them in my presence,
Even for a moment.
All we can do now is cling to the hope of seeing them again.
All we have is each other.
We must hold on to each other,
Make them proud,
And do everything we can in the memories of them.
My school has lost two precious angels by their own hands in the last nine weeks. Please, if you need help, you can talk to me, talk to your friends, a trusted adult, or call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255. You are never alone.

Thanks
For keeping the lights on,
You know
I'll be coming soon
Though I need a plane to get me home
I'm way too broke for that.
At least I've got you
And your endless embrace
Of asphalt
As a means to rationalize my escape.

No music
No air

Hours upon hours
Thoughts and Rhymes
Some that pass
Some that no one will know.

Drinking coffee
Filling up
Toning down.
Leaving my brain back, back
All the way down south.

You just can't get that kind of service on a plane.
Lest you keep yourself mile-high.

It's always fun solo
But two heads are better.
Two heads never beat one
Always seem to beat each other.

I could use another head right now,
How about you keep me in check
Check?
Checkmate.

Button up your lip
Throw away the key
Wash your face,
No one needs to see you tonight.

That's why you've gone away, right?

What's your story?

I've heard them all.
Don't be so quick to think yours is any more unique
Than a single crack in the turn of this road.

Every crack's got a purpose
A menacing purpose
But a purpose is a purpose.
It's something to do
God knows you've got enough of that on your mind.

...
So, what's your story?

Nope, never heard that one before.

No, I have.
You're not special
Until your deemed not non-special.

It's only the way America works.
Don't blame me.
Anywhere else in the world, you would lose.

Be thankful
For the dim of these lights.
the Jersey timberwolves are out tonight.

It means...
It means those lights
aren't lights.
You're not safe here
Child.

Yep, eyes
Eyes cream,
But you're lactose intolerant.
A fabled snack
A nice after-dinner mint, I'd say.
When you're on a long road at night and the only light you see is the courtesy markings on the way, you get a little antsy.  This poem is kinda like that.  It feels like this conversation could go somewhere else, though it feels like it's starting to derail.
