"stagering" poems
W
The corridor is empty
Walking foward
Empty
Stagering
In the dark moisture
Of the hallway
Humidity's a killer, they say
Well, who the **** are they?
The ones who brought you here?
Haunted.

he had broken me. left me on the floor, broken and bleeding.
i can still hear him, hiting you with his fist.
i want to yell at him. tell him to come after me and not you.
but i cant. and i never will.
he comes bursting in. i tell you to go and hide. dont come out, no matter what you hear.
you run and hide. he comes in stagering. he's drunk.
he comes closer.
"hey baby" he slurs. he's so close i can smell the jack on him.
i want to run, but before i know it he has me pind agunts the bed.
as he starts to slap me, i only cry out once, telling him to stop!
he yells " WHY DONT YOU LOVE ME?"
i cant anser him, which only makes him slap me harder.
he stops, as he hears his baby girl crying in the other room.
he gets off me. " dont worry rose, mama coming."

stagering in your darkened rain of pain
slicken and soiled from your stains
with the skulls of your past lying in dirt
with these feelings of lonlyness, pain and hurt
as i look into your empty eyes
which show nothing but immortality of hate
stricken by the path of bones from your past
with empty hearts scattered in your trail of blood
i can only see that your only about pain and misery
which your feelings inside only comfort you with hurt
the only time you smile is from the death of a loved one
the times you cry is when no one loves you
why do you do the things that you do
why do you tell me that i love you

Skin shivering.
Goosbumps forming.
Eyes closing.
Heart racing.
Ears ringing.
Hands trembling.
Breath stagering.
Heat rising.
Smile forming.
Joy neverending.
