In a new age of romance,
One never knows where to turn.
And in this room of broken souls,
I question which desire burns
Loneliness sits on my left,
Sleaziness hangs on my right.
One admits that they feel alone,
The other lies into the night.

And being caught in the middle,
I'm torn between which side to stick my flag.
And the further I cave into temptation,
My conscious begins to drag.
The left provides a conscious clean,
While feeling hollow, but remaining pure.
But at the cost of my own morality,
The right simply provides the cure.

The fence I reside on begins to crumble,
And a decision I must make.
Stay true to myself but feel dead inside,
Or mince some words and join the fake.
The greatest gift is the moment,
A present not to be soiled.
But while the nice ones sit and wait,
The ******* become spoiled.

I look in the mirror, and fake a smile,
And hope pretentiousness is worth the while.
Because if I'm lost, heed this at all cost
Courage is more noble than denial.
Its sad times when doing Gods will makes you a deviant..
Cause society tells us to be content with sleaziness..
Content with *******..
Content with arm robbery..
Content with doing foolish acts without apology..
It's sad times when there's goat disguise as sheep.
And the other sheep can't see..
All they can see  are the a-like features..
So they continue to eat..
Even though everything that's pleasing to see isn't good for the soul..
Just because it glitters doesn't mean that's it Gold..
You cannot be content with the opposition
Even if its in the form of a celebrity or a politician
To say your a Christian and then condone the unholy is a contradiction
Following Christ is not a neutral position..
Its a spiritual and literal decision to change how your living
So to live for Christ is to cause friction..
With society ...
The church is the worlds resistance..
Yet the worlds prescription
Christ hands of healing..
Who is really down to be a witness
Openly active not a secret agents in Christ mission

Sir Angus Deaton penned a thought
In stipulating, mankind aught
Not dwell about in maudlin things,
Rather that he spread his wings
To seek beyond the meaningless
And declined virtues' sleaziness.

The collapse of that which matters
Has rent it all, so much in tatters
That, they, who lack the years of school,
Discouraged by oppression's rule,
Depressed to Hell by biased laws...
Collapse... amid this sea of flaws.

Mainly blacks in rust belt states
Poor white trash, who fester hates,
Those imbued, forgotten souls
Sidestepped by societies' goals
Opaque, invisible to most,
Ignored now by their gilded host.

Retreating to frustrations hit
In regressions' darkened pit,
Where life douses meanings' fire
Deflating down, too deep, too dire...
Just dis-ignite the living switch
Declaring forfeiture to Rich!

According to Deaton in todays edition of "Hardtalk" on BBC television, morbidity induced suicide in poor America is equivalent to three Boeing 747s ploughing into terra firma daily, roughly the same as the current death rate of Covid 19 countrywide.
David Knight Dec 4
Her dress is sweet by fortuitous
not meant to get minds *****
but here comes the round-about
and the sleaziness leaves no doubt.
There should be no such imagery,
but a mind that contemplates bless.
