Pallbearers dancing to the bank
As deaths keep on soaring high
Who knows the crimes of the dead?
Except the unseen hands of creation.

Sickness ravages the souls of men
Children pleading for more years
Who cares about their yearnings?
Only the dying mothers.

Famine saddens the hearts of All
Pests smile towards the crops
Who can salvage the situation?
The Guardian of the yields beckons.

Babies cry for food, shelter and water
Markets are closed to All
Floods impede movement
As the wailings continue.

Humanity by Uzo Okoli

Sun rises to the East
War ravages the North
Climate bullies the West
Poverty destroys the South

Who will conquer the vultures?
No dove in the jungle of war
Mankind fights unfinished trend
That gives a sad face to All.

Forgiveness lies beneath 1000feet
Enemity surrounds humanity like water
Raring her ugly head as a wise serpent
Pains, poverty, population spells doom to Us.
Tears and wears paint the walls of everyone.

MEN ARE SCARED BY UZO OKOLI

Destruction and deaths knock
Scavenging the hearts of men
Beckoning for the blood of mankind
As the breath of humanity seizes

Who can breath the air of life to Us?
Who can cleanse the carcass down the road?
Who can beseech the curses of demons?
Who can conquer the hearts of the vampire?

All men are scared like Myself.
Alas! The traitor of humanity
Worshipper of the goddess of opulence
With a vicious cycle of greed and hatred.

Who will protect the footsteps of men?
Who will speak to the dead conscience of mean men?
Who will promote the virtues of our Creator?
Who will secure the heart of the world?
The unknown terrain of our contemporary world makes us scared of our tomorrow.
