A Dawning Tomorrow
Benyeakeh Miapeh Jun 2021
Too much pride leads to shame
Humbleness is tossed to grave
we're tripped under the dark secret of evil tongues
A Christian nation without sight
We live on the surface of pains
A pain of yesterday that's stuck in our memories
Like broken vows
Our integrities are over shadowed
The dark dreary reality of our culture is fading
We are sinking in the deepest part of ignorance
Power holders use it as weapon to **** the poor

How can I laugh?

When leaders are killers
They dance to the cry of innocent souls.

We are Liberia
The backbone of Africa
It's time to take toes
I can see a sparkling new Liberia
A Liberia that'll live under the canopy of culture
A new beginning with peace
Where happiness will ruin
And equality will whisper in every ears
A dawning tomorrow is loading
With no echoes of evils.

My pain
Benyeakeh Miapeh Jan 2021
Give me an ink
To drink
And I will ***** out my pain

All I need is a place to think
And I will sing
Out songs of pain

I wish I was an artist with brushes and paint
To picture down what is making me to sink
In the tears of my pain.
Thought from my heart

The sign
Benyeakeh Miapeh Apr 2021
I inhale the feelings around
            Something blissful and aglow
            Two lost souls have newfound
             Love on a fairground

My heart dances to the beat of her sweet voice
Performing different dance styles of it choice
Words are not yet out but our hearts rejoice
Awaiting to be rejoined after eons of lost

             I can feel the sign
            Waiting for me to opine
             It's special and outshine
              Bright like sunshine

Heart is about to be loved and renewed
And love is no longer misconstrued
In my veins her name is tattooed
I can see the signs of love in my daily mood.

Where I come from

WHERE I COME FROM

Where I come from
A place of many believes
Divided into quarters
That are identified by taboos and believes
Men are men/ women are women
Paying loyalties to their surprime head
But it is a beautiful place to call home
Because there's no where like home.

Where I come from
The believe of Christianity
Is like the gemination of an
Unknown plant in the desert
Outpouring in hot sand
But it is a beautiful place to call home
Because there's no where like Home.

Where I come from
Sambas and animal skins sound
Better than drumps and pianos
We gather every evening for stories
Told by elders and kingsmen
And make imagery of stories like movies
Indeed it is a beautiful place to call home
Because there's no where like home

Where I come from
Good and evil are flammable
In the air like gas
With evil dominating like stars in the milky way
Live there is different from the outside world
You talk less to live long
But it is a beautiful place to call home
Because there's no where like home.
Story of reality and believes
