Why does time go so very fast
When you’re having fun it just doesn’t last
When the sun is shining and the air is clear
Down comes the rain oh yes it’s here
When that cake you’re eating tastes so good
It gone within minutes as I know it should
When I think back twenty years
Of my youth it brings me tears
And I think forward in only ten years
I have my upmost fears
I’ll be in my seventies!

When you’re working up to the ultimate moment
And you’re coming to the ******
And then it happens
the earth moves
Shaking
Waking up the dead
Seeing colours in your head
The ultimate excitement
Fireworks in your brain
You’ve done it
You’ve made it
Self assembly is done!

Summertime

It’s coming summer and hot today now its June
By the way!
I sit I relax
People are mowing their lawn
I sneeze
The sun is shining
It’s nice and hot
I soak up the sun
a sheer delight
I tan
of that I’m a fan
I chill
That I can fore-fill
I sleep
For a little-while
I smile
It’s summertime!

Why
Why do I feel
Like times passing me by?
Why do I feel
Like I could just cry
Why do I feel
You might leave me and die
Why do I feel
Low and not high
Why do I feel
I’m living a lie
Why do I feel
Time is getting nigh
Why do I feel
I have to sigh
Why do I feel?

Succinctly yours
For those who abhors
Descriptive jargon
That I’d pardon
Not always aware of what they mean
Sometimes go by what is seen
One can be mistaken
a word that is faken
And one where the meaning is ambiguous
To words who we abhorred
Because the meaning is unknown
I’ve learnt a few as I’ve grown!

You lift me up
With your half filled cup
You make me feel
like the real deal
You put your happy face on
You tell me jokes just for fun
Through your eyes the sun shines
As we eat tomatoes off the vines
As we watch the sun set
And the rain comes down and we get wet
But most of all we’re together
And that you know I don’t regret!

I woke up this morning
To another day dawning
I Looked at that sky
With a sad tainted eye
Is it going to rain ?
Or are we gonna die?
dark closing in as day goes by
It’s so incredibly grey
Another wet windy day
The wind is roaring
Like an angry voray
It’s now pouring!
What can I just say?

Not knowing
It’s the not knowing that is scary
Sometimes it’s best not knowing
Am I being lairy?
Is it better knowing ?
I guess choice can just vary
To what we need to know
What we want to know
And what we will never know!
Not knowing!

Nothing ever stays the same
Things come and go to pass
Life is but a game
But In it’s own shape and mass!

Smile it makes one feel the love
Miracles are made of love
It s a special thing is love
Love is all we need
Every smile shows some love!

Exhausted
Zapped
Drained
Two steps forward
One step back
Walking through treacle
Time to chill
Time to sleep!

Dolphins
are beautiful creatures
Their skin
feels smooth and firm
They’re strong
They’re clever
They’re fun
They play
They talk
To each other
Dolphins
are beautiful creatures!

I dream
Of Living by the sea
It would be heaven for me
Sitting in the window
Having a cup of tea
Watching the waves splash and roll
Looking at the line on the horizon
Dividing the sky and sea
Watching white horses when the sea is rough
And on a hot sunny day
Seeing the azure blue sea
And the deep blue sky
Would be such a treat to an open eye
And to take it all in
I wouldn’t have to try!
Being by the sea
I can hear the waves
And smell the salty sea
Its such a wonderful feeling
A feeling of nature and being so free!

I’m off and away
Like the wind
I feel a ray of sunshine
Fueling my plight

Flying along like a kite
The air is fresh
The mood is right
Where everything is quiet

A beautiful night
Just the owls out hunting
Nature awakes there’s
A moonlight sky

Running briskly
I fly along
In my head there’s a song
An ear worm

Moving quickly on
Now I am gone
In to the night
As I leisurely run!

The apple tree by the wall
Has worked so hard to produce some fruit
Her number of apples only small
Beautiful and rosey
One and all!

Love is
toleration
Give and take
Patience
Share the cake
embrace
Kiss and cuddle
Sharing
Half each
caring
Look out for each other!

With every Rose
Cometh a thorn
Quite true I suppose
As it goes

Nothing but nothing
In life is perfect
And can we say it is worth it?
I guess, I guess,  I should say yes!

Good Luck follows bad luck
Statistics say, To win the lottery
You’re more likely to be hit by lightening

The lesson here
Is the power of positivity
Cup Half full,
Optimism is not dull
Just pick yourself up and try again!

I walk down the winding stairs of marble stone
holding onto the bannister as I go down
wearing a beautiful floaty dress
and as I get to the ground
its peaceful quiet without a sound
there in front of me  is a big old wooden door
I open the door and walk in to a beautiful room
its light is dimmed with a purple hue
there is a seat of purple velvet
where I sit and rest
And as I stroke the soft smoothen velvet
it makes me feel so calm and cool
then after a while I walk across the room to the French doors
I open up the pretty doors
I walk through to a beautiful garden
with sunshine and a gentle breeze
perfect and sure to please
the flowers are all amazing
the smell is a delight
delicious wisteria
wonderful carnations
the roses are incredible
the scent is so wonderful
and there right there
amongst the beauty is my bench
I sit for a while
it makes me really smile
I rest and I chill
And relax at my own will
Its a place in my heart
Its beautiful art
and an escape  just for me
and a safe place to be!

There are so many little things in life
That make life worth living
Writing poetry and lines
Is just about divine

It’s a place you can express
The words that are on your mind
And even write that fiction
Of any other kind

But writing about our lives
The good the bad
And those that help us strive
And the things that make you sad

Poetry Can sometimes make you cringe
And others will think you’re off your hinge
But I don’t mind it’s poetry of kind
And still it’s good to get it off your mind!

Life is not immortal
Life ends and we leave through the portal
But we all want to hold on
We miss all those who have gone
And departed from this world

It’s a frightening concept
But we have to accept
We don’t know what’s out there
Belief helps to bear
Our fate and our fear !

Don’t take those worries to bed
Try understand what I’ve just said
Just don’t takes those worries to your bed
Write them down and put them away
Until the morning of very next day
You need your sleep without the worry
So rest and sleep now try to hurry
Sleep is important to us all
If you don’t sleep you sure will fall
What can you do about your worries
When you are asleep you’ll have no quarries !

How could we just complain
about the sun and rain
when we need them both so much
to keep us all alive as such
but there is no equilibrium to gain
as we just get far too much rain
and when the sun comes out
its rays they seem to pout
but how can we complain?

Just for you

Look at the beautiful green trees and leaves,
They make you smile so I believe ,
And when the sun begins to shine,
Open your eyes you’ll feel divine!
Laugh a little at the chirpy birds,
We wonder what chirps mean in words?
The flowers are all pretty and bright!
Until the nights comes and is no longer light!
Never feel alone!
There’s always the telephone!
Laugh a little!
Smile a little!
You are alive!
You will survive!

Trees are so beautiful
I could hug a tree
some are very old
Older than me
And some have been there many years
So if they could talk or if they could see
They'd know a lot
From history!

It’s The circle of life

Every living thing is born
On this planet
And every living thing will die
On this planet
We know it’s the circle of life!

An apple pip grows into a tree,
Some giving us apples to eat,
Some sour some sweet
It may live for a while but eventually die,
The animals in the wild are born to live their lives but eventually die,
Our pets come as kittens and pups into our world,
But eventually die
Although we cry
It’s the circle of life

We all come into this world
Be it a bug or a slug or some kind of creature
It’s the circle of life!

Nothing in life is black and white
Even day going to night
what lies beyond this world were in?
Are there ghosts or is it the gin?
Where do all our loved ones go?
Would we really like to know!
Are there aliens or are they akin?
and what form are they in?
Is there really a parallel universe
Lots of questions in my verse
Is there reincarnation
Returning back to our nation!
Nothing is black and white
I guess we'll never know, alright

The sky was black this morning
As we ventured out as the day was dawning
Thick frost underfoot but that was expected
We did not know what was a pending
Out of the black came ascending
Enormous rain drops falling from the sky
Like the heavens had been opened
And Mother Nature was having a cry
Soaked to the bone
we went home
Dried off with a towel
And back to bed under the quilt
I had Walked the dog so I have no guilt
We snuggled up nice and warm
A happy dog ( my baby) and a happy mom!
Safe and warm and now back home!

Massage my back
Rub my feet
Oh what the heck
Don't squeeze my neck
But use the ice
That's very nice
Relieve the stress
But not the dress
I'm about to go to sleep
So relaxed, I'm in a lovely little heap!

Pathos in January

The rain comes down!
In Pathos town,
It’s very wet,
We might just drown,

It’s cold it’s wet
But the drink is warming
There no insect
But the cats are swarming 

The floors getting wet
The towels are down
Mopping up the rain
So staying put, not going to town!

We’re all the same
We’re only human
No one to blame
We’re only human
Equal in our fathers eyes
We’re only human
Colour and creed are irrelevant
We’re only human
we have but one life
We’re only human
Past is past
We’re only human
Love for now
We’re only human
Love, be kind and live for now
We’re only human
There’s a brighter future for us to see
We’re only human!

The rain has gone,
The sun is breaking through,

Its a beautiful evening,
With a bright shiny sky,

The birds are out singing,
And the flowers have bloomed,

It maybe the evening,
but out comes the beauty the sunshine will bring,

The bees are back buzzing,
Dragon flies in flight,

What a wonderful end of a day,
It should be a good night!

into the skies
Take a leap
Where your body flies
Don’t you peep

Now you’re dreaming
Fast asleep and very calm
So it’s seeming
Floating the clouds with outstretched arms
A sheer delight You’re beaming
Hearing angels sing their psalms
Now the sun is streaming
Your body warms!

And down you come
To a gentle sleep
Out of Rem where
You were only dreaming!
