  Jan 2021 HOPE
Maria Mitea
Don’t be afraid of what you don’t know,
You are too strong to know everything
Too strong,
Can you hear me, too strong,

Do not be afraid of the crowds,
They are too small for you,
Petty muggers,
Hear. how they make noises like  starved  mosquitoes,

Do not be intimidated by knives, when
Your eyes are like gillet match 3,
Listen to your own steps cutting their own steps
Cutting. the dead. Dead. Corners. of the streets.
HOPE Jan 2021
I position my eyes to the east
And bow my head to meditate
More like a consecrated priest
Yet I have not been made great

HOPE Jan 2021
I waited for you on the roadside
Under the umbrella shadow you made
And I lingered till the sun fade
Yet you never appeared

HOPE Jan 2021
Or too sluggish to Pace
In this destiny I'm set upon
There should be sunbeam
At the end of the tunnel right?
Yet I'm jammed in the middle of nowhere

Step backward Step forward
Still darkness shielding my eyes
No matter how extensive open my eyes are
Maybe I'm just blindfolded to see the tiny light ahead
Yet too sighted to see that I'm lost
HOPE Jan 2021
I snatched a glance
Linear to my mother's eyes

Her eyes overfilled with tears
Overpowered by emotions

And I surveyed the configuration of the sea
Being yielded through the fall of my own
HOPE Jan 2021
Hold my hand as I hold yours
And let us tear on each other's arms

HOPE Jan 2021
When the oceans runs dry between us
We will still glide through memories we created together
