It's very dark here, I can't see a thing,
I'm very cosy and warm,
I can't hear that much,
Things are muffled and low,
But I'm sure I hear somebody sing?

The next day I hear that singing once more,
Somewhat stronger,
Yet so very soft,
I close my eyes and fall asleep,
So warm and I feel so secure.

When I awake, I Start to open my eyes,
I can just about see
Something move,
This must be my arm, at the end is my hand,
How amazing! Oh what a surprise .

My eyes readjust.  What's that over there?
I see something else starting to move,
It must be my legs,
With my feet and my toes,
So amazing! I do nothing but stare.

I wonder who has that beautiful voice?
Sending me to sleep everyday,
I need to stretch out,
Get more comfortable,
Coz that singing just makes me rejoice.

I'm growing quite big now,
Getting quite cramped,
How I'd love to move about and stretch,
That singing has now turned into screams,
I need to make it stop! But how?

"Just one more push and here's your little one,"
I hear somebody shout very loud,
It's getting so bright,
I let out a squeal,
My warm little home has all gone.

Now I am snuggled, I'm hearing a hum,
It's that singing,
The song that I loved.
I wonder who sings it, I just love that voice,
I look up, and realise it's mum.

Tell me:
how do you feel?
When you see this world in such a mess
Full of anger, full of stress,
Full of war,
But what's it for?
People wanting more and more.

Tell me:
How do you feel?
When people die
And you don't know why
When children beg along the street
With no shoes upon their feet
Ignored by everyone they meet.

Tell me:
How do you feel?
How nothing's fair, there's no justice,
Can not ignore, can not miss,
Can not start to walk on by,
And give out one tremendous sigh

Tell me:
How do you feel?
When you see people in pain
The crippled and the lame
Struggling here and there
It's So unfair

Tell me:
How would you feel?
If you could make things right
And turn the dark into the light
Make the blind regain their sight
What would you do?
What is the case?
To make this world a better place?

I'll tell you a story
About someone I love,
His been in my life
We're similar, kind of.

He can be quite funny
In the things that he does
And also quite silly
And this is because...

He does little things,
that makes me laugh,
He likes his few beers
And a very hot bath,

He drove an old larder,
When I was so high
Its what I remember,
It's In my minds eye.

When I was so little
I remember when we
Used to go to the park
What fun that would be.

We'd play in the snow
On a very cold day
We'd have such a good time,
But then he would say....

"It's time to go home now,
It's time for some lunch,
My tummy is rumbling
Let's find something to munch"

We'd sit round the table,
To have a nice treat,
Like cake or a biscuit,
Something delicious to eat,

The times that we had,
This someone and I,
How we laughed and we cried,
When I said good-bye.

He has such a kind heart,
He'd do anything for me,
He's someone I love,
He's called my daddy.

Imagine a world where the volume button was muted,
Where sound had been wiped out,
Where people spoke quieter than a whisper,
Where all you heard was nout.

Imagine a world where birds flew without a sound,
Where dogs didn't growl or bark,
Where the **** didn't ****-a-doodle in the morning,
Where foxes didn't scream in the dark.

Imagine a world where babies cried in silence,
Their tiny giggles went unheard,
Where the first words uttered from a baby,
Was nothing but a written word.

Imagine a world where music didn't exist,
Where dancing and singing's not there,
Nor the tune played on a piano,
Or a merry-go-round at a fair.

A lesson's to be learned within these lines,
It's not a nice one but it's true,
You must always remember, don't ever forget,
This world, one day, may happen to you.
