Lying for attention and loneliness is a horrible thing
It is a habit that should never start but is easy to copy
Very well be the beginning of the mental illness and ask for help if it is
Keep it in your head if need be
Erase it from your heart
Use your creativity if you call it that for other things
Hurting yourself and looking like a fool isn't worth the pain and destruction of a soul
You should be liked for yourself not for the stories you create

You start your life and there before your eyes he stands
Just like that 42 years has passed since we met
We celebrate that meeting for it is a great gift that endures and gives
We have been threw it all and even now that young couple made it
threw the rain and the storms
The thunder and lightning
The Hellos and Goodbyes
They said we wouldn't make it and we proved them so wrong
Not the day we married but this wonder of wonder days
Just when you stop looking love finds a way to you
Thanks for loving me and being my best friend
You are truly the greatest treasure in my life

Not the expecting type, more like  the accepting type
We were not looking but we found each other on September 14,1979
Sharing dreams on the Belt Parkway
Many have come true and look forward to more
New York City sprinkled magic around us
Gently and quietly something special started
Everything just fell into place nicely and easily
Stars sparkled and realigned
You understand me better than I do myself

We jumped hurdles and healed broken hearts
Still working on those in progress

Making them is not fun
Sometimes necessary because feelings should not be trampled upon
Many have a truckload ready
Just once the truth but even that is private and better left unsaid
Even if the truth is none by the other party

Remember that writers especially Poets are sensitive souls
This stuff that would not even cross your mind keeps them up at night

The sky is usually inviting even though the telescope still isn't on my deck, yet.
Not tonight.
Crying and writing don't usually go together but this time they do.
Photographs and memories will have to do but was hoping for more time spent with you.
One of the stars in my life who shone brightly has dimmed.
How lucky to have known you and played a part in your life.
More importantly we called each other friend.
So when I am able. looking for a shooting star or a falling star hoping you know what you meant and will always mean to me and many others.

We need to stay free along with our institutions
Guns and killing children ,educators and people in schools or anywhere must never happen again

Women must choose what they do with their bodies not the government
AI can be helpful and solve great problems but must be utilized correctly and positively without any danger lurking

Bright blue bitter January sky
New York City Eskimos running their Sunday errands
Then he arrived with his seen better days car
Man with the mission
His cats were waiting
They scurried from nowhere to Bluebelt park
Out of his bags came food for his cats
Watching and quietly seeing love and respect at a strange time in our cities
Love protected those homeless cats as my poetry protects me

If time and illness make her climb harder hard to watch
She won't give up no matter who gets in the way
No matter how difficult she is and what watching that does to her family
So much of it is out of her control

you can't  see where they are bleeding
some scars are wounds that simply refuse to heal
others need more attention
not all disabilities are visible
the truth isn't always the best medicine or answer
even when it is capable of destruction very difficult to comprehend
leaving well enough alone is not always the best policy but what if it is the only one?
how much does it have to hurt?
will the cost be too great?
draw filled with smiles slapped on will only get you so far
do we judge too freely?
do we forget that yesterday doesn't exist for some because they only have today
when will they ever accept tomorrow?
One step forward and two steps back may not be the prescription
for all?
