You can dislike someone you love
Sometimes it is so unclear
Then
you hear the voice in your head
Reminding you
Others don’t notice
Either they don’t choose to do so
They see what they wish to see
Not what is truly there
It is clear when someone is so shallow
So narcissistic
You can no longer digest their environment
Someone can hurt you so badly
The person who should never hurt you at all
Truth is,it is what it is
They are who they are
They look at how a package is wrapped as opposed
To the contents and quality

The sky is usually inviting even though the telescope still isn't on my deck, yet.
Not tonight.
Crying and writing don't usually go together but this time they do.
Photographs and memories will have to do but was hoping for more time spent with you.
One of the stars in my life who shone brightly has dimmed.
How lucky to have known you and played a part in your life.
More importantly we called each other friend.
So when I am able. looking for a shooting star or a falling star hoping you know what you meant and will always mean to me and many others.

Ancestors and immigrants who are enjoying tbe dreams and accomplishments their grandchildren and great grandchildren achieve
You showed us what we should do and can do.
The middle class matters and should not be overtaken by the rich and powerful
We need to stay free along with our institutions
Guns and killing children ,educators and people in schools or anywhere must never happen again
Time to be civilized
Women must choose what they do with their bodies not the government
AI can be helpful and solve great problems but must be utilized correctly and positively without any danger lurking

People were ignoring him
He didn’t want to be at this amusement park
He wanted hugs and a home
He has that and more

Bright blue bitter January sky
New York City Eskimos running their Sunday errands
Then he arrived with his seen better days car
Man with the mission
His cats were waiting
They scurried from nowhere to Bluebelt park
Out of his bags came food for his cats
Watching and quietly seeing love and respect at a strange time in our cities
Love protected those homeless cats as my poetry protects me

You couldn't walk in this world now but wish you were here
To hear you sing
To hug you
To look at your reassuring hazel eyes again
Daddy, I don't know how 50 years have passed tomorrow but I will be fifteen once again

She is tough and made of stuff not sourced any longer
If time and illness make her climb harder hard to watch
She won't give up no matter who gets in the way
No matter how difficult she is and what watching that does to her family
So much of it is out of her control
Yet, she continues to fight the good fight for however long that is
Not ready for peace and serenity just yet

The worst that can happen is that you might get splashed or caught in a downpour
The best thing is that the rain brings flowers in May

She reminds me of a bluer skies and her children
When people are beyond believing and you wish you could edit yourself out of the situation
She is calming and reminds me walking helps

Watched rain ripples in syncopation with the ducks quacking
It is raining like April
Tears falling everyday
Wasn't that long ago or far away
Strangest weather in April
But it is first week of May

Hate remembering and going back there again

Museums are great places for poets
Naturally left to enjoy and listen to artists
Colors and forms come alive before your eyes
Then again, we see it differently
What a grand way to spend time but with the masters and up coming artists
Then you realize they understand you almost as well as you do them

Fifty year friendships should be treaured
Alas there is tarnish and strange vibes around it now
Calls are lessened and get togethers far and few between
When next time comes play it by ear?

Drastic change so hard to know you

Not sure that I want to continue this

you can't  see where they are bleeding
some scars are wounds that simply refuse to heal
others need more attention
not all disabilities are visible
the truth isn't always the best medicine or answer
even when it is capable of destruction very difficult to comprehend
leaving well enough alone is not always the best policy but what if it is the only one?
how much does it have to hurt?
will the cost be too great?
draw filled with smiles slapped on will only get you so far
do we judge too freely?
do we forget that yesterday doesn't exist for some because they only have today
when will they ever accept tomorrow?
One step forward and two steps back may not be the prescription
for all?

I caught you looking at me
This time I caught your glance and returned that stare
Eighteen and nineteen were long ago
The scar is there
You can let things go but some memories burn and destroy your spirit
See you move on with an attitude but now it is of Gratitude
He showed me the way
A life quite remarkable
You accept not expect
You don't need a lot to be a Prince Charming or to be swept up by one
All it takes is to be loved for the human being that you are
For a very long instant and daily
I treasure what I have and what I learned
He is an original and despite the hurdles we currently face
Together we can conquer it all

The chance I took in bringing my work to the public came because I Write here.

getting more comfortable with myself and how my life will move forward
if you were left behind it's because there is nothing left to say
not my intention but it is better than the way it is and was

In a slanted sanctuary and home bound world
Home sweet home has a new meaning
We will learn how to put into a new practice what we thought was correct
We are keeping our distance in real time and connecting and reconnecting virtually
There are dark hours around us
We will break through this and find the dawn again
Obstacles are lessons in disguise but this is for everybody everywhere
We are forever changed and in prospective it will  make itself clear
