They were always funny and a comedic pair
Charming in a sweet way
Today, this adorable squirrel kept looking back at me as he sprinted
The further he ran the more he turned back to see me
If you believe in spirits or the great beyond
Perhaps a dearly departed loved one, said Hi.
Lately not sure what I believe in but this I saw with my poetic eyes
Yet,believe again I will and hopefully this magical creature will know I am grateful for the encounter

Several years ago a horrible cry came from the park.
A feral cat was killing a squirrel
Many people feed the cats so this made me incredibly sad
Yesterday I saw two squirrels in trees flicking their tails to signal danger or a problem
A white and gray cat was watching their every move on the trees
Ready to pounce or make her way to the tree
I stood there watching for a while hoping that the cat would leave
I hope next time I feed the squirrels that they are all safe and sound
I love animals and am involved in animal charities but this hurt my heart to view
This was survival of cruelty

Then today
A  New Yorker was arrested because he threatened and maintained people who have the right to vote and have their voices heard celebrated the President Elect was not to his liking and they should be exterminated by his hand?
Too much to ask of grace
He and others like him are a disgrace to Democracy
This is the current state of Grace?
We should be determined to return to a state of Grace in the United States.

Watched you play your games
Did not know you were a player
Guess it was far from my grasp and mind
When you hugged me hello and it was longer than it should
have been.
You said are you curious?
Bolted and cried because we were platonic friends like a brother and sister
I listened to you
When others felt you wasted their precious time
The gold band on my left hand says more than you should have summized
When you realized that certain things should never be said
you ran to find me
My husband drove me home and kissed the tears away
He said a line got crossed so reel it in and stand your ground
You stepped on my heart but now you are married so you understand

I do walk outside for my head
Not to hide but to take things in without the commentary of others
It has become noise
Not the media because I get them
It is others that sound like scratched echoes on an endless loop
Either accept people's way of life or move on

Better to say nothing than to offend or wound deeper

His lyrics need to be the way we live now and forever
The Pandemic has been challenging but has moments we need to embrace
Neil Diamond's lyric of Used to bes don't count anymore they just lie on the floor til we sweep them away should give us the answers
We talk of respect and kindness
Do it and show it in your actions
How about being about it and put that message into action?
Stop talking the talk
Change is the one constant like it or  not
This is not generational thinking it is carefully taught like an old song tells
Here is the way it should go now
You have got to be carefully taught before its too late
Not to hate all the people your relatives hate
It has to be drummed in your dear little ear
Hate is a four letter word
Stop and think of all the mixed messages the world has brought to you no matter their source
Stop Imagining before it is too late
It is up to all of us because we were never really in it together but now it is inevitable
History repeats itself until we finally learn and improve our world

Will there still be mountains to climb and build?
Will we still care or give up?
The lesser of two evils at least I hope we will
Not sure about heaven or angels coming to greet us.

He drove her home from school late in the evening
Took his friend for roasted chestnuts while seeing the Holiday tree at Rockefeller Center
Gifted her a Teddy bear
He became her best friend and love of her life
Healed a broken heart and damaged soul with love
Introduced her to his parents as he placed an engagement ring on her hand
Danced with her to Jim Croce’s Time in a Bottle in October the following year at their wedding

Nature is my favorite companion while walking
Little butterflies the size of half of a U.S.Dime seem to enjoy my company
The fact that sulfur colored butterflies symbolize positivity
alluded me but it fits
Lilac flowers of the same size and baby daisies
All people should live in peace and harmony
Prejudice needs to go the way of all disappointnents
The hope of all out weighs what  the US President wants
So be a butterfly
Enjoy life and stay as happy as you can

Your nearly blew over a ferry to Cape Cod and Nova Scotia
There is more to you than that
Your nights are sultry and velvety with starry blankets
Your lemony sun and turquoise make for great moments

The Farmers markets are so much fun with recipe ideas

Friends, family, and work are Zoomed so much that you are on instant replay most days

With Mother Nature as company I am off
Charity miles tracker so ASPCA gets funding for every mile
Listening for bird songs
Buying a bag of nuts for the squirrels in park
Placing them under trees and by fences
One little one looking for food hid in his tree
Quietly watching for the sweetheart to climb down

Thinking of how much Henry David Thoreau would have enjoyed this.
Moment of Nature on CBS returned me to Cape Cod at Sunrise.
All one had to do was enjoy the sights and sounds.
The Ocean, Seagulls, Sea Lions and the calm.
Lately Scott Miller's videos are a weekly delight.
We have great gifts from Mother Nature that we should cherish and take good care of
In a world that is sometimes hard to believe and recognize this is a great gift.
Reminds me of teaching Walden again.

Mom's unveiling was almost a year ago
All I could do was hug your monument at the cemetery
Didn't want to let go.
Hate visiting there.
You should know that because other than once you visited.  
Mt. Hebron to visit your father.
You never returned as far as I know.
You have missed so much and I miss you more than any poetry books I will write.
Daddy, I am a published writer.
The tears are falling harder this year because your 95th birthday just passed and we can't celebrate or spoil you
Taken from us far too soon fifty years ago when you were
Forty-five
Still need a community to be a writer
Thought I found it but still unsure.
A platform for exchange is needed but not my decision or choice.
You taught me never to believe or use the words I can't in a sentence or my mind.
Still, sometimes that fifteen-year-old girl talks to a stone.
Hoping you hear me because her father died from a heart attack as she watched it happen.
That little gray dove on the railing this morning sat there as if it was hugging me and drying my tears.

School is not the only place to learn
